I go to this market once a per month and I get more bang for my buck in the San Juan market. I find that this farmers market prices to be too expensive especially when you take into consideration that they are planting what they sell. My mom loves going there to buy the lettuce. She loves the variety and freshness. I can get 1/2 a slice of melon, a paw paw, a pine apple and a hand of silk fig for $50.00 in San Juan market.

I go to the QPS farmer market frequently because I live in POS but I really find that there is not a large variety of fruits, mainly because so many fruits are seasonal, early on in the year you will get a lot more mangoes and citrus, and there is a guy at the entrance of the market that sells peppers and sometimes he has some lovely Cayenne guavas.

Thanks for this info, this was my second visit to the QPS farmer’s market

Pink grapefruit is $1.79 USD each. Five grapefruit cost $8.95 USD. 64% of your budget! I saw pineapple for $3.99 USD each. There goes your budget, Rajeev. The Indian shop sells wintermelon. I made soup with it, but I will try to make juice. I make karela juice with the dark green karela. The Indian shopkeeper said the light green karela does not last as long on the shelf.
@TrinbagoVibesАй бұрын
If it doesn’t last long on your shelf, you know it’s as “organic” as you can get…and yeah those prices are high…the only exceptions when i visit is getting the berries, like strawberries and blueberries, they are much cheaper on your side than here
