Much appreciate that Ajahn Martin pushes people - from my own experience of many years in Buddha Dhamma meditation, I only really felt I made progress when I encountered Sayadaw U Sandima's methods - he really pushes you - sit through pain and it works …..otherwise we can spend a long long time just kidding ourselves - we really do need to be persistent in every moment and that is very very difficult to do living in the world - so we need to allow whatever conditions will help us do this - renouncing in some way is essential, otherwise we are thrown around by the senses...…...for real progress, commitment is essential

22:00 there is no i in the samadhi, General Avijja leading the klesas hides in sanya(thought) sankara(memories)

Of course avijja lead us just to know samadhi not to be know in baramath

not difficult once you practise - push yourself to sit longer and through more pain than you would normally - it does work - you can try by yourself or Theinngu32 way is brilliant for retreats that push you through - anyone can do it …..
