Kept arguing about what exactly "obese" meant or what the quiz thought "obese" meant. Also is the education part highschool + or JUST highschool and nothing higher. Its not clear.

Overweigt = even a single gram over "normal weight". Obese = when you got more than 20% extra. So let's say you "normal" BMI (and it's not really a good system for that check for several reason) would 70-80kg, then with a weight of 81kg you would be overweight, but you need around 100kg to be seen as obese.

This quiz is really weird. Either produced a LOWER percent than choosing Yes or No in some cases. Bachelor's Degree has the same percent as Masters. Keep in mind that the website compares against all of the US male population (ages 0 to 100+), so age is the biggest filter. If Numi asks for age 25-35, non married males, the percentage already goes down to 8.0%. For Filian, age 20-42, non married males is 15.6%. Let's renormalize considering the age bracket. Numi's 1.9% divided by 8.0% is 23.8%, and Filian's 1.34% divided by 15.6% is 8.6% (she lost because she didn't want kids). These are much more reasonable percentages. Moreover, selecting "high school" excludes 55% of the age bracket, so there's definitely something wrong. Probably, it does not include neither dropouts nor college, university, or other postsecondary education.

BMI isn't really a good number indeed. Regarding fat for example: the real problematic fat is inside your body, between your organs, so the health issue comes from that and slim people can also have that problem. Fat under the skin doesn't look nice, but regarding health it's not a problem. BMI works with height^2, but the human body isn't 2D, so overall it would be more like ^2,5 to make sense. The taller you are the more the BMI will be off. It also does not differ between muscles and fat. Everyone who trains a bit will quickly reach the overweight and even obese level simply by the weight of their muscles. And of course you also got different builds, it's not like yo can do much about your skeleton itself and it's not even about the weight of your bones, but when you got wide hips or a wide chest it is as it is and of course the tissue won't be just stretched to fit, but added.

BMI also had to be ^2,5 not ^2, because humans are not 2D. The talle you are the more the BMI will be off. Also does not care for your general build. While different bones do not weight this much extra, when you got a wide ribcage vs someone with a slim one, this of course got quite the impact, since the body will not just stretch your tissue to fit it.

The thing they never really tell you about BMI is that the 'standard' for it is garbage cause there isn't one. Obviously, there is such a thing as too little and too much, but everything in between is pretty much a crapshoot. For example, I know I'm fat, and my BMI says low range obese, but I'm healthy and part muscle. Same for my mother, she's older and works out, but "technically" she's in the overweight category despite not actually being that heavy, just short at 4'9"
