One motor at each phase total 3 motors of 5 HP can be contacted. 3730=220*0.85*i I= 19.96 Approx. = 20 amp Loading of 75% means 25 Amp on each phase.

The motors must be distributed over the three phases so that all the phases get equal current. So if you want to connect three motors, they should be connected to three phases and not all three to one phase. If this is not followed (say nine motors are connected to three phases- each phase three) the transformer will burn out happily. You cannot blame DDUREY
