Great video! If you do the fresh vs bought bait try putting 2 pots next to each other. That way we can see what bait the crabs go to.

No grey area with limits, it is "in possession". Eating one deducts your possession. if you took your bag limit home today and you had one from yesterday in your fridge at home you would be over your possession limit.

The ethical thing to do as an outdoorsman would be to count the one you lunched on into your bag for the day. Honesty is what keeps the wild wild. Over limits and dishonesty can and will destroy a good fishery. Bottoms up brothas great video.

It's in possession, so 14 in the boat at any one time with 2 people or 14 at home if there are 2 people or 7 if just one person. But let's face it there will never be 14 at home😁 Just goes to show that Queensland rules as they are work, if your pulling that many small crabs and a feed you just need to know when and where and keep the farmers away.👍🤙Cheers mate 🍻

Hey mate I'm in nsw and the rules down here are once the fish has been utilised (whether that be eaten or given away etc) it's no longer in your possession, and you can top up your bag limit in the same day. Not sure if it's different up north but I'd imagine it'd be the same

The lobster industry is Big where I live in New England. The fisherman don't f*** around. If they catch you scuba diving near their traps you're in for a world of hurt. Some of them even rig small explosives to the door of the traps.

Try to move to an area plenty of 2 inch clams.. The muddies you showing are big but majority was newly moulted and hjas little meat. You can see that their claws have large molars = look for flat molars... the body lines on the body has to have pronounced deep channels.. and the height of the back of the crab must be pronounced too.. the rate of good quality crab seems poor in that area as its probably a popular area so you have to keep what you got.... That one claw crab you threw back had a lot of meat based on what I can see.. Best you go to another area but it could also be dangerous as plenty of salt water crocs in less frequent areas.
@gtfishingschoolcharters23302 жыл бұрын
I wasn't going to respond to this, however. Not sure what you are leading to here? For a 4 hour soak, we were pretty happy with the results we got. Oh and for empty crabs, totally wrong. All full. As for moving to another spot? Why would I if I am getting results? Either way, your comments were to say the least interesting. Your comment "the rate of good quality crab seems poor in that area as its probably a popular area so you have to keep what you got" We released crabs, we kept 10. No need to be greedy, as the 10 crabs we did take were FULL.
