You should add a brief description to each mod you show, that way if someone is interested they can just pause to read instead of having to search it.

I WAS going to do this originally, but I didn't want to interrupt the flow of the video or music - BUT - I do take your suggestion on board for the next one 😀 Thanks for watching the video though, hopefully you found something useful! Have a wonderful day!

Hey great to see you doing SE videos again, hope there is more to come. You showed off the Binoculars, there are other great mods that use the scope framework that the Binoculars uses. One is the M107 Barret Sniper Rifle, another is [WARFARE 2 FIX] Engineer's defense kit - Character guns. There is also a remake of the Halo hand weapons mod that uses the new Scope Framework as well. So Build Vision and Build Info are my top favorites out of that list with the Build and Repair System coming in third. What is your favorite?
@FatMiddleAgedMan Жыл бұрын
Hey bud! Thanks for the warm welcome - always nicer to hear than "oh crap, you again!" Haha! Cheers for the heads up on those mods, I'll check them out! As for my favourite, I think it's gotta be Build Vision, then Easy Block Renaming, theennnnnn, maybe either Paint Gun or Projections to Assembler - though there are so many high quality ones these days it is really hard to choose! Hopefully I'll be able to finish editing my next video later this week, watch this space! 😀

@@FatMiddleAgedMan Right now, I don’t have too many mods, but two mods that I favor currently are Static Drills / Recourse Nodes, and RB Gatling Gun, which takes the standard Gatling gun, making it longer, and shoot about 10x faster.

Thats on the Steam workshop for PC, but it may also be on mod.io if you don't have access to steam - hope you find it! It has a ton of cool cockpits!

I know Keen is slowly assimilating the mod by DLC, but Passageways would have been a good add.

Can anyone help been trying to find good console mods for the ps, none of the ones I keeps seeing have a description or explain exactly what the mod does,
@FatMiddleAgedMan Жыл бұрын
SE Console mods are here spaceengineers.mod.io/ There are some limitations as Microsoft restrictions do not allow in-game programming in the same way as PC. Scripts and scripted mods are not usable on consoles. That does remove a lot of options, BUT, there are still some nice extra block packs you can use - I think Spacebar's Cockpit Emporium is on there, maybe some of big gun mods, etc.
@savageslattz5705 Жыл бұрын
@FatMiddleAgedMan yeah been on that you gave to open it to read descriptions in the game, just can't actually find any with good descriptions of what they are or what they do

Aryx-Lynxon drive systems mod and +1000% gyros multi lang mod are two must have mods for me since i hate having to build gyro balls covered in thrusters as every design in order to have a functional ship.

I'm suprised, there wasn't "Nanobot drill system" by DUMMY08, it's like BaRS, but for drilling. Verry convinient and usefull for making straight tunnels and uderground bases. 'Crew enabled' it's great too. It's always good to see actual crew in traiding stations, even they do nothing more then sitting. But with stations from Modular Encounters System, crew actually defend they base and can be really dangeros. "Supercruse drive", "Stealth system", "Sleep mod" - thouse are few I can suggest to try. And verry fan to play is "Vector thrust OS". Script that allowusing one thuster on rotor in 4 out of 6 directions. And it's just 'plug and play'. Put thrusters on rotors, place cockpit, place programable block, select script, fly :D
@FatMiddleAgedMan Жыл бұрын
Thanks for all those suggestions - I'll be sure to check them out! I actually knew about the drill and fill one - but I am a little biased against it. I run a server, and every time I install it it gets abused and eventually just lags everybody out - probably should've included it though as it is a great mod! Excited to check out the supercruise one - love me some Elite!

@@FatMiddleAgedMan I usually play single player, just for relax. Now I made custom word using vanilla and akurah planets (combined exactly this two systems together, but I moved Europa from Mars to Triton, two cold places together). All planets are 50k meters from center. Diameters: EarthLike 250km, Alien ~400km and Luma ~700km, others random to 120km. I was using "Star system generator". I added "Scattered resources" to forse exploration of other planets. Asteroids density - lowest, but I added steroid belts to few planets. Some survival, some npcs, scraps and playing is much more exciting. And "Improvised engineering" will have update, that allow moving stuff at such high coordinates :) "Critical reactor explosions" is fun too. If u have spare uranium, it allows making very powerful nukes (with automatons update works pretty well and destructive), but if you had your reactor one shotted - it's over, you have no ship anymore. "Critical jump drive explosions" do similar think with jump drive, but I 'banned' jump drives in my playthru.
@dawidgro Жыл бұрын
Training outposts are more necessary now too. For example you have to buy silver for medical components, to make 2nd survival kit or medical room. Weather matters actually too. With "aerodynamic physics" wind is more dynamic, and when weather is bad, solar concentrators from "Steam power" won't work. "Smart rotors" doesn't collaborate with steam, so "Isi's solar alignment" is necessary, but it need solar panels to calibrate itself. Really, this is much more complex than vanilla. Maybe I put mod collection on steam...
@FatMiddleAgedMan Жыл бұрын
That sounds really interesting - if you do put a mod collection together for this let me know, I'll definitely check it out when I have some time! I do like adding extra layers of complexity and difficulty to the game, vanilla is good but it quickly becomes too easy. Something that adds persistent challenge would be incredible!
@typhonplume937411 ай бұрын
Most of these never. As I play survival and not creative I found out that most of them, like the huge mining drill for example is a waste of time and resources to bother with. Not to mention a lot of things like the Spacebar space consoles don't work like there supposed to when you look at the steam page.
@FatMiddleAgedMan11 ай бұрын
Interesting perspective - and as for the ones that don't work, I've never had much trouble with any of these, but mostly I put them together for the aesthetics rather than function - rule of cool and all that :)

Discovered a few interesting mods here. Couple of things to note though: - WTH is this music? Had to play the video without sound with how much it was going on my nerves. - You should not be showcasing so many mods of the *Modular Encounters Collection* individually. Just show the collection, it is fairly balanced IMO so no need to show individual mods. - A quick description explaining what the mod does would help.
