I had to smile when he said that 1 point per dollar is a loss. Over here in Germany most credit cards don't even give you 1 point per dollar. How are we supposed to survive in this game... :(
@mananagarwal6374 жыл бұрын
That's the case in most countries. I'm from India and the options available for points are very very limited. We only have the Amex set of cards and the platinum costs a 1000USD a year and only gives a point per dollar on average, not a good deal imo

There is a way to get the best value from your points, miles, or even hotel rewards. C•R gives you the best dollar value more than the issuer does, the value is 2-3x of the dollar value you normally get. Why not trade your points, miles, or hotel rewards today for a better dollar value than most portals offer you

Could you do a video for the 80-100% work traveler. How to maximize perks/credit cards/etc for a traveler that doesn't need every perk to come from a credit card. Genuinely curious. Currently diamond w Hilton (avg 70 nights/year), platinum w Marriott (avg 60 nights/year), switched from Delta to American this year due to move. Picked up $99 AA credit card through Citi bc work pays for lounge access (although Silver from Barclays seems much better w EQMs & 3x points) & Uber Diamond as a passenger. What setup would maximize benefits? Are Marriott/Hilton cards worth it? Uber credit card bc a lot goes towards dining during the week? Any advice is appreciated. There aren't many videos for the frequent business travelers who don't need all the perks to come from credit cards. THANK YOU!

You live too extravagantly. Our planet cannot handle that much consumption from one person. People who don’t make as much money as you do will think they will get free stuff signing up for these cards. What will really happen is they will get caught up in an impossible debt spiral. People will profit from their misery while thinking they earned their extravagance. Do some research. Take some personal inventory and make some changes. Our planet is in big trouble.

I don’t live too extravagantly. I have zero debt and a perfect credit score- that’s how you win at the credit card points game
@YouHaveAGoodPoint5 жыл бұрын
Credit card companies prey on the poor. They can afford giveaways because they enslave the poor. It’s irrelevant if your debt free. Your lifestyle is excessive. The majority of the people in the world cannot afford to live the way u do. Your fooling yourself if you think your actions don’t effect those around u. Our planet cannot afford that kind of travel. You do live excessively. You’re not deserving, you’re entitled and greedy. You’re selling a lifestyle that is unsustainable. Educate yourself. Stop living in a bubble.
@d_dave72005 жыл бұрын
@@YouHaveAGoodPoint You're not wrong exactly, but if given the choice I'd still take millions of points from those same (greedy) credit card companies if I could. You can always use them to donate the value of the points to charity if you feel so inclined. In my anti-capitalist book, screwing credit card companies out of money, causing them to lose value from you instead of gaining the way they do with others, is a good thing provided you use your resources to do good yourself.
