I know it’s not the same level of importance, but I’ve watched Pete since his beginnings with FOX News. It always impressed me how competitive he is. He is a perfectionist, very smart, very personable, says what he thinks, thinks fast on his feet, and has amazing leadership qualities. He is a true Patriot through and through. I have been very impressed with his hearing…especially after suffering through Biden’s candidates who get caught in their lies, and often can’t answer questions about their own job, let alone the people in their department. No hesitation on Pete’s part. Nice crisp, professional, enlightening hearing. Very encouraging for America.

As a person who has been in combat for our country, take this position as well as any top brass military position very serious. Not to politicize this event because it should not be about Republicans or democrats this is about being qualified to lead if need be our troops into life or death situations periode. Mr. Hegseth should be given a fair opportunity just as anyone else should be to address any concerns that may arise in his vetting. My concern was that he has not only been uncooperative in answering the questions put forth on the floor he has refused behind the door meetings with some democrats but has held behind the door meetings with Republicans. In closing, I will say that to lead our troops, there must be a leader that doesn't have his judgment called into question. If there are incidents of drunken sexual behavior that have come into question, they must be vetted and answered, and then the process of being qualified to lead the troops can begin.
