Just so you know, any safe with the hinges on the outside is not a “safe” it’s a paper storage box also called a “paper safe”! An old time locksmith taught me that!
@menzac88923 жыл бұрын
It looks like a safe to protect your stuff against a fire or your kids.
@Taylormade23503 жыл бұрын
It's still a safe lmao. What's the word you used after paper.
@marcusborderlands61773 жыл бұрын
If it has bars on two sides then it's still totally safe with external hinges.
@rockel833 жыл бұрын
These are fire safes indeed. Which protect mainly against fire and heat. A lot of these special fire safes have slightly thinner walls on the outside. There're even existing plastic ones of these. But also means they have to penetrate more material, like the filler and the inside box. So more material to slow down the bullet. So maybe all together it will have the same effect as shooting a decent regular anti-burgalry safe.
@terryandreasen51602 жыл бұрын
LOL - with only a FEW exceptions, pretty much ALL safe makers for the last 200 years have been making them with the hinges on the outside. Your "old time" locksmith had no clue what he was talking about! Just to clarify, hinges are NOT part of the security of the safe, the only purpose they serve is to hold the weight of the door when you swing it open. Manufacturers install inactive or locking bolt work on the hinge side to hold the door secure in the avent of a burglary attempt and the hinges ae cut.

@@beneator3978 Thanks for dropping the knowledge! So, twist rates are just different, made for different loads, not bad or good, just...customized for what you want to shoot. I appreciate that, lots of learning to do about ARs if I'm to invest in one...
@beneator39784 жыл бұрын
Moves Smitt yeah mate it’s the twists of the rifling so a 1:12 like that one is a full rotation for every 12 inches, a typical target or long range 223 is about a 1:9 and so forth it’s definitely worth looking into
@littlerainbow36814 жыл бұрын
That has nothing to do with penetration from that distance. You can shoot a 1:9 and have the same outcome. A 556 bullet tumbles very easily so it looses its energy fast. Stabilizing a bullet has to do with accuracy not penetration, especially at 50 feet would make no difference

I shot my M1 carbine yesterday for the first time and I’m to used to bolt actions so when I pulled it back and chambered a round I fired it and then tried pulling it back again and then I remembered it was semi auto

Benghali In Platforms it’s a inland carbine that looks like it was converted to a M2 but never had the 2 stamped over the 1 but it’s in great ish condition My grandpa never really cleaned his guns so I had to clean 40 or 50 year old carbon build up but I’ve cleaned it up and there’s no rust and it shoots really well still needs testing so I’m saving up for surplus ammo cause new ammo is expensive

As Matt has said in the last colab videos, you really need to start with lesser calibers like .22s just to see what happens. He tries to gently suggest this and yet you keep ignoring the advice. :) Its not fun to just skip ahead to penetrating three safes...

There is an art to crafting a KZbin video, viewers have a limited attention span. If you make the vid too long folk add it to Watch Later and then don't bother. Working all the way up through .22 to 20mm makes the vid way too long for viewers waiting to get to their next channel's offering. 17-18 minutes is the normal limit for folk to watch there and then.
@Phenom984 жыл бұрын
This is already 17 minutes long. That's enough for me. Get a life. Edit: Correction, 18.

When you have shot the first safe several times, the sand insulation is less compact, and therefore the bullet goes even further, big fun to watch even as far away as Denmark
