honestly I don’t understand how you can have Bron as a superstar and not AD cause AD was the best player on the lakers this past year. They were 2-4 without AD and 6-5 without Bron. I love Bron but I feel like people don’t give AD enough credit just cause he plays with bron and that’s highlighted by you guys saying AD isn’t a superstar.
@DusoLLАй бұрын
Also if you look at the context of the games that were played without Bron vs AD it’s way different. 4/6 of the games AD missed were against teams that are below .500. While 7/11 games Bron missed were teams that were above .500. My point in saying this is that AD without Bron performed much better than Bron without AD despite AD having to go against better competition. I do believe Bron is a superstar but no way you think Bron is one but AD isn’t, it’s just flawed logic unless you’re going solely on marketability.
@stonecolescoe9699Ай бұрын
They def don’t pay attention to lakers games as much as they should I think we mix being impress with what Bron is still able to do at his age and not is overall impact on the game Ad is by far the most impactful player on the Lakers
@0_j630Ай бұрын
Don’t think either are superstars tbh
@julesdepreter5697Ай бұрын
Superstar status is not only decided by play
@DusoLLАй бұрын
@@julesdepreter5697 I don’t disagree, but by every metric AD should be a superstar. Very marketable on his own plus the fact that he plays in LA
@nineteenctАй бұрын
Pels had Jrue and Lonzo creating plenty catch and shoots for BI years ago. The year Zion missed was when BI played his most natural game, if the Pels didn’t start 3-16 he may have had steam to be an all star that year, and he averaged 27 in the playoffs. Zion assisted the 10th most threes last season but it still didn’t translate to BI getting more attempts up, so now with Dejounte if he’s gonna get more up it has to be now

donovan mitchell just got so many playoff moments. 4 50 point games, top 10 in ppg, averaged 30+ in multiple runs. he only has one all nba, but he was most certainly getting 2 if he played 65 games. he’s never gone on a deep run, but bro got injured down 2-1 to the champions. if that series happens in the conference finals instead of finals, he’s a better player? he’s a superstar? we’re talking about a guy that always has homecourt and has never missed the playoffs. i think if peak dame is a superstar, current spida is a superstar as well

NBA 2k ratings are so crazy compared to FC/FIFA game ratings. I don’t know how the way the game operate but the best players in the world start at around 93 maximum, and about 10 in total over 90 - if that. Gives the players a full season to earn improvements based on form and for a gradual increase in quality over the season.

The fact y’all never mention Keldon Johnson when you talk about the spurs is disappointing. He was the biggest victim to the mess they were last season, and could have the biggest bounce back. He’s only 24 and I believe he’s a better player than Sochan, at least right now.

at 40:50 y'all didn't let d mills rock, but that 15-16 warriors team was 2nd in 3pt shooting rate (behind houston), 27th in 16ft-3pt range shooting rate, and 24th in 10ft-16ft shooting rate. they were even 29th in 3ft-10ft shooting rate (all from basketball-reference). so maybe there was some other midrange-shooting team that was a top offense (the 15-16 spurs for example), but it wasn't that warriors team. typically, heavy midrange-shooting teams aren't as efficient as teams that focus more on the rim and 3s. phoenix was 9th on basketball-reference (maybe you're using cleaning the glass or something else), and that's with 3 excellent midrange shooters. maybe they repeat that performance this year, but it's a tough ask to subsist on that. the spurs used to do it with an offense with a much better flow than phoenix's

Jokic, Giannis, luka, Embiid, LeBron, Curry, Tatum, Shai are the only superstars in the league to me imo. Players who I think can be the best player on a championship level team. Don’t think KD or AD can and are more 1b type of players at this point of their careers. ANTs teetering the line imo then there’s like book and Brunson around there too

IMO being a superstar is about your play and most importantly STARDOM. Just because you're a top 10 player consistently doesn't make you a "superstar" if you constantly fly under the radar off the court. Steph and Lebron are the definition of modern superstars. A lot of players most consider superstars just because they're top players just aren't. That title is given way too easily. It's like knowing the names Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar without being invested in Football, same can't be said for majority of "Superstars" in the NBA.

donovan mitchell is for sure a superstar. the only thing “holding him back” are the shitty teams he’s played for. he’s never had a bad playoff series, he’s never had a bad year, came in as a rookie immediately killin the game, worked on his defense and playmaking, can do everything offensively, dmitch is a superstar. if you swap him and Anthony edward’s then Mitchell would be considered a superstar more widely and Anthony Edward’s would not
