Naw just purple lightning uses way more Chakra so he didn't really have the Chakra reserves to even attempt it before losing sharingan. After losing sharingan Kakashis Chakra reserves doubled.

Shiden (Purple Lightning) can be used in close combat and at a range and is also a more powerful jutsu. There simply wasn't a need for Shiden when he had his Sharingan because he already had multiple variations of Chidori. Besides, he got the idea after seeing Madara's Sage art: Yin release, Lightning Dispatch in the war.

This happened already. During the Momoshiki arc, Boruto felt Naruto’s feelings and saw some memories when he created the parent child Rasengan. After this it’s implied that Naruto started telling Boruto stories of his past. Then in the Urashiki arc, Boruto literally went to the past and saw part 1 Naruto, saw how he lived, how he trained, and his ninja way in full swing as this was right after Sasuke left the village and all the kids were healed up. The vast majority of people still see Boruto’s character as it was in the first few arcs of the anime, which was flipped on its head right after the Momoshiki arc. Boruto’s been a likable character for years now people just don’t pay attention/watch from reels.

He created chidori when he was trying to learn rasengan. and then minato said use it carefully because chidori needs high speed, movement and precision. and sharingan give these to a user and then he refined his version to Raikiri(lightning blade) which he can use whenever he wants and disable it whenever he wants

Anyone can learn Chidori, having the Sharingan isn't necessary to make a Chidori appear. Using Chidori causes the person to move so fast that they can only see straight ahead. So if someone attacks them from the side, the Chidori user won't be able to react because they won't be able to see the person. Since the Sharingan can perceive things more than normal eyes, having it while using the Chidori will permit the user to see someone attacking from the side. So the Sharingan helps to solve the issue of ambush attacks.
