Question is why. One answer is business. ( look at various districts around the country) Nationality diversity in employment minimises communication between the groups. This, in turn, makes unification of the workforce difficult. And so, at the time of negotiations for new pay and conditions, it makes it harder to get together and fight as one. People tend to form into national groups . It is a natural process. Someone probably believes the UK and many other western countries have had it too good for too long.
