This podcast is a 10/10, as an active duty Corporal considering doing the MECEP program this podcast answered a lot of questions and doubts I had about the program. It’s also amazing to have somebody from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 putting this information out there being recruited from the island myself, thank you Albert!!

I enjoyed this podcast segment. Thanks to Albert, Barry, and their guest, Alex. It was very informative. It took me back to when I was in the Marines. Barry, you stressed "encouragement," for others to consider this officer program, powerful. During my time, at 1/9, Happy Horno, many of us wanted to take college classes & were told that the likelihood of attending all classes would not be possible due to our commitments. Many of us did not enroll..Today, there appears to be a shift in opportunities to take classes, if not at a college campus, then online. It is a major improvement. Are you two, Albert and Barry, retired from the Marines? I heard you two refer to Gunnery Sgt and I think First Sgt. I commend Alex in exploring and in making the decision to become an officer. Based on what he has communicated, it seems like he has a paved road to completing his officer requirements. We all know that the Marine Corps comes with many different challenges. I was in the infantry and that was no cake walk. But, the experience itself was an education. Having trained and traveled as far away as Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Panama, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand was an education. When I discharged from the Marines, I decided to complete my degree in Political Science (International Relations), with minors in Sociology and Psychology. If you two are retired from the Marines and no longer in the Marines, what are you two doing professionally? Keep up the good work & thanks again for an interesting interview.
