@Mariclairy8 ай бұрын
I believe he had borderline personality disorder. He had the intense fear of abandonment which is why he couldn’t commit to one woman and had to keep multiple women at all times. His mood swings, rage, impulsive behaviour, unstable relationships and eating disorders also point to BPD. Borderline men also tend to display antisocial behaviour and rebel against societal norms or authority figures hence why it’d be easier to mistake him as having had odd. But I think it was a lot more serious than that.

"Their romance roared in the 50s, making them one of the most beautiful couples in Hollywood." Wrong. Their romance did not roar because Brando kept it a secret. He never took Rita out in public, unlike with his other girlfriends at that time, i.e., France Nuyen, who had been photographed with him many times at dinner in some restaurants in Hollywood. Brando also went for a while with Marilyn Monroe, and they were seen together at the premier of "Rose Tatoo." Zsa Zsa Gabor was also one of his many lovers and she gifted him with a very expensive Vacheron Constantin watch used by Eastern European royalty, that later sold at auction for $18K. Rita was not in the movie, "Desiree," so she couldn't have met him there. She was one of Brando's visitors at the Desiree set. Others that visited him at the set were Ava Gardner, who stayed a long time in his dressing van (and caused Frank Sinatra to explode!); his second wife, Movita Castaneda with their two children; and Shelly Winters. Later, Ava Gardner disclosed that Brando had erectile disfunction. So, Rita was not that special with Brando and they couldn't have been a "most beautiful couple," if the guy was always seen in public with other women except her. It's a good thing that Rita survived the suicide attempt. Pina Pellicer, another of Brando's lovers, committed suicide. She was his co-star in "One-Eyed Jack" with Katy Jurado, playing the role of her mother. Brando was bedding both Pellicer and Jurado at that time. France Nuyen had a nervous breakdown that destroyed her career and lost her "Suzie Wong" role to Nancy Kwan. Another Brando lover, Filipino dancer Marie Cui, had a baby with him, but was suspiciously never heard from again. The few women Brando failed to screw were Elizabeth Taylor (because he was friends with Richard Burton); Jean Simmons (because he was scared of her husband, Stuart Granger); Anna Magnani (because she never bathed); and Sophia Loren (because her breath smelled like dinosaur and she had hair sticking out of her nostrils.) Otherwise, Brando was Hollywood's most dangerous slut.

Narcissist abuse syndrome breeds codependency and destroys ones ability to make decisions sometimes and victims often defer to other people's opinions and rules and decisions. It is very toxic and does look like idol worship but is really a way of just becoming an echo of the other person to avoid pain and trauma which makes you a shell of yourself for survival. If she was not strong enough to tell him No, and was aware then on some level she knew she wouldn't be strong enough to protect a child from him either and Narcissists are neglectful at best and often incestuous as they have no limits when their need for power, fuel/ supply and control are their number one priority and addiction. We see these patterns are rampant in Hollywood too. I know it is WRONG but I am trying to explain the Dynamics better because those who judge without empathy and sympathy and do not try to help women in this situation are making the problem worse. There is already a tremendous amount of shame and guilt that pressures victims of abuse to do and think things that a non abused brained person would never accept or contemplate. Look at human trafficking and trauma bonding as well as Stockholm syndrome to understand better how the neural rewiring occurs. It is much more common than people realize like the fight or flight is not accurate because there is also fawn and freeze which a lot of females do because of behavior programming, especially those who experienced childhood abuse, severe neglect, trauma and manipulations like gaslighting. We see the fawning also called friending in rape victims a lot. It is a defense mechanism at the core level the reptilian part of the brain so to speak and is not rational, not tied to conscious thought but more like knee jerk wiring triggered by panic or life and death situations. When a female does this she is not consenting to rape she is trying to survive the same as the fight, flight or mixture. Freezing up and dissociation or playing nice is not planned and often no one knows what they will do unless out in that life and death moment and then they are often surprised. My best friend and her sister were part of a small experiment. Her sister a track star and she a tennis player/ gymnast/ loud cheerleader thought the runner would run and the other would fight and yell. Nope they got spooked/ threatened and it was opposite. You never know what you will do when it happens to you unless you train yourself and that can only go so far still. It is just food for thought and if you don't think it applies to Rita or other Hollywood starlets and women of that era when they had the illusion of power but we know even recently how Harvey Weinstein and others preyed upon people, then that is your opinion and cool, but maybe it will apply to someone later in your life and this info can help with that because it does happen and to all types of women and men too.

Imagine how tragic the abortion was for the baby.

@@jenrutherford6690 His daughter Rebecca, by his second wife Movita Castaneda, seems happy. It was her idea to make his lifetime voiced tapes into a feature called "Listen to Me, Marlon." She seemed to be so proud of her father.

It was doubly tragic because it was a botched abortion. Rita said the abortionist left bits and pieces of the baby's body inside of her, which made her feverish and in danger of infection and blood poisoning. She was taken back to the hospital to redo the abortion. What hurt her most was, instead of showing concern for her, Brando complained about the expensive hospital bill.

People overplay his sexuality. He was just a straight male with a sex addiction who would screw anything. But he wasn’t gay.

Rita was of mixed race. Brando didn't like that so much.

She must have; but nothing like the self-inflicted pain of chasing him through his two failed marriages with children and a string of other ethnic women he proudly took out in public, but never her. Rita magnanimously described one of Brando's other women, France Nuyen, as sweet and beautiful and was the favored candidate for the role of Tuptim in The King and I. But the producers discovered Nuyen could not sing, so the role went to Rita. Rita, who not only sang, but danced, too, proved to be fabulous in that role. Sweet success!
