Truly an encouraging story. About a year ago my wife walked out on me and just last month the divorce went through. Although everyone in my family, and even most friends, constantly tell me to give up, I continue to stand in the hope that she'll be willing to reconcile and this testimony has helped encourage me to continue standing.

You can stand for the marriage but don’t hold your breath. Work on your PIES. Continue to live your life in full and find the inner source of everything you need. We are supposed to be full inside so we can give to others. If there is nothing inside then there is nothing to give. Do the work for yourself. You have worth.

You may have to limit your time with them. Yes, even family! You don't need word curses put over you. Ask God to send other Godly men to fellowship with and encourage your stand. Also don't tell a bunch of people. They don't need to know your business.

As a man standing for his marriage I wish it was more testimonies of men standing when the woman left. Seems like most standing and restoration testimonies are women holding on to hope. Can’t help but to hear “when a woman is fed up”…..I’ll admit I need God help to focus on Him

Maybe I missed it, but I would like to know more about the relationship with the other woman. How and when did the relationship with the other woman end in relation to the husbands desire to reconcile with his wife/family. The presence of an other woman or other man is plays a huge role in the dynamics on how or why a spouse returns or not. I would really like to know more about that. The influence and thought process of the wayward spouse while having the other woman/man still in the mix providing a distraction.

The affair partner has nothing to do with it. Your faith has to be in God, not your spouse! That's where the enemy trips people up. It ain't over til HE says, even after affairs, kids outside the marriage, abuse, etc. God is the true waymaker when it looks impossible!

The key is connection. Showing your wife a video will not get her to connect with you. It has to come from you. Work on what you have control, which is you. Work on your PIES and just be the better version of you. See reality. What are you doing now that can be better? Then just be the better you. Do not expect reactions from her. Just be what you want to be. Act how you want to act. It’s a scary thing to do but when your body reacts question yourself if that reaction is valid. You’ll soon get the hang of your body continuously protecting you even when threat is not real anymore. You can change how your body protects you. Change your story. Change begins within.
