To call this a gem is an understatement, Shogo. This experience in itself would be reason enough to visit Kyoto - perhaps with the addition of a visit to the various marvelous temple gardens to round it out. Thank you very much for introducing us to this experience. It is very much appreciated - more so than I am capable of putting into words.

Dear Shogo and Kazu, what a great video! Indeed, the tea ceremony is a moment of calm. You have a superb setting, and what an emotion! I have not yet had the chance to participate in the Tea Ceremony ... You know, in France, it remains a privilege to attend The Tea Ceremony. But .. I believe in luck, and maybe I will have the honor to attend The Tea Ceremony ... who knows? But with this global pandemic, it is delayed ... Your video allows me to live in communion with You and Kazu this serenity and this restorative calm that this beautiful ceremony brings. Continue these videos so impressive that enriching on all your superb traditions. With all the friendship that I have for you Shogo and Kazu.

15 minutes to prepare a cup of matcha tea. 0 minutes needed in cleaning the surrounding area afterwards, because nothing was spilled, the mats most likely are stainless cause the tea wasn't splashed whilst mixing. No sticky sugar. Compare this to our instant coffee counter. We are always in a hurry. To make instant coffee in 2 minutes, we often will spill some coffee, spill some sugar, spill some milk, whilst mixing we might splash the coffee and most of us throw the spoon in the sink. After a few minutes the counter needs to be swept of sticky coffee and sugar granules, and then thoroughly wiped down. So I see the efficiency in this ceremony. Also, far more peaceful.

Random question; Does winter shogun exist or just a myth?
@k1ng0fgam3s2 жыл бұрын
I hope by asking this question I don’t come out as rude or ignorant, but i am curious, the tea sweets, say you are a diabetic (assuming they contain sugar) is it rude to not eat the tea sweets or maybe ask for a non sugar variety? Some of my biggest fears is traveling to foreign lands where they carry such traditions as Japan for example but having such an illness as mine and not knowing how to approach situations where one is limited to the foods you can have and having to deny the consumption of certain foods. I hope i said this right and again I apologize if my comment sounds ignorant or rude im just curious. Thanks in advance for any replies on my comment.

It was a very relaxing experience with amazing Japanese environment. The tea house, the nature, the lady. It was, like, visiting an entirely different world than yours, unknown to you.
