I agree Dest has improved defensively, but it’s still his weakest attribute and our back line is shaky af. Love Musah but I think Dest should be playing higher up the field. Let the man cook!

If antonees new role as an inverted fullback/6 is going to be a regular thing then I think Tyler’s status in the 11 is jeopardy. That is the fire puter outer role. You saw Jedi was able to anticipate and break up counters before they could really get going which is Tyler’s really only elite attribute compared to what tanner is bringing as a real regista at the moment. I also think poch loves loves musah and will only use him wide so, although dest should be playing the wing he will most likely end up playing the RCB role for scaly. I still think dest when healthy on the wing would literally be one of the scariest things defenders have seen. Front 4 of balogun/pepi; weah pulisic dest, then add Weston, and tessman. Solid.

1st match against Jamaica played out as a 343. The second match played out as a 4231. A wingback role in 343 would be tossup between Dest and Musah. A right back role in 4231 would be Dest vs Scally.

Tyler Adams HAS the true confidence and command presence of the leader and Captain if this team. Even McKennie doesn't quite match it. Tyler's leadership was on display at the WC. If he is truly healthy, he starts. period.

Aint no way Dest should play in that scally role if pochettino wants to keep playing 3 ATB in the build up. The Musah position is perfect for the Dest, doesn't have to defend as much and basically be a winger

I think Poch brings Musah at RB and plays Dest as a right winger, he would use Adams-Tessmann to cover the build out as his back 3 and allow Dest to cook

Dest should not be defending like Scally as a centerback, he offers alot more on the attack, he should replace Musah

All four of these guys are gonna shine in their own respective ways. Pochetino will find a way to play them and make them as effective as possible. They are all in our top 10 players and roster locks, and Balogun/ Reyna were held back by Berhalter.
