The banter and wit is weak. Trophies? Aww boohoo, shall we go and cry; is that what you expect us to do? We’re laughing at you mate. Laughing! Our stadium is breathtaking. It’s the dogs bollocks. And that’s not even us saying that - that’s rival fans and their ex-players. They know quality when they see it. Each and every event will make Spurs a fortune. They make £800k every game from the beer and food alone. Think about that. Big numbers. Really, really big numbers. Y’know what the funny thing is? We don’t even spend money on the team and yet we’re not only consistently in the top 4 but now competing in the biggest club game in world football. What’s YOUR club doing fella, hmm? As I said. Spurs fans laugh their bollocks off at little saddos like you. There really literally is nothing you can possibly say that will trigger us. Nothing. Nada. Nowt. Great video, but I challenge your suggestion that the Champions League run has been about luck. No way has it. 3 games in and 89mins into the 4th group game, Spurs are dead and buried. But they keep fighting. Final game, 85min equaliser against Barca at Camp Nou - Moura again, amazing. They then get drawn against Dortmund. Widely recognised at one of the most dangerous teams in Europe and who at the time brought phenomenal form into the game. Spurs absolutely demolished them. Didn’t concede a single goal over 2 legs. This is Dortmund. Two clean sheets. They then get Man City. Widely acclaimed to be one of, if not the strongest, teams in Europe. Again, no one gave Spurs a chance and City were expected to roll them. Didn’t happen. Instead, Spurs managed the tie to absolute perfection: a tidy 1-0 at home and tactical masterclass to secure the result at Etihad. They never gave up. Next up the semifinals. Ajax. The team full to the brim of wonderkids who’d slayed giants before them. At HT in Amsterdam Spurs are 3-0 down. They’re dead. They’re buried. The mourners are leaving. But yet again they refuse to be beaten. The character comes. Moura ignites hope and the team throws Ajax into the bonfire. Don’t disrespect what Spurs has done. None of that is “luck”. It is heart. It is spirit. It is refusal to be beaten and refusal to give up. A proper, proper team and a world class genius of a manager, motivator and coach. A leader and an inspiration. Men on a mission. There is so so so much to admire about what Tottenham has done to reach this final. They show that it IS possible to get there with hard work and superb coaching, not the chequebook approach of Pep & Co. I am sooooooooo rooting for Spurs. They of all teams this season, deserve to win it 🏆
@dargondude23755 жыл бұрын
So, Inter bottled against PSV, which is very convenient, still draw against Barcelona is good, but a fuck up by Inter is really lucky A Dortmund at the worst part of their season with some of their best players out on injury and they were having a rough time in Germany at this point. It's convenient when your opponents best goal scorers are out, makes it pretty easy to keep a clean sheet. Its like facing Juve without Ronaldo, Mandzukic, and Dybala, of course, you won't concede as many goals. So, City, where do we even start, maybe with the fact that Aguero fucked up his penalty, uhh Laporte's two beautiful mistakes and they still would have won if Aguero wasn't a millimeter offside. Anybody who says that Spurs didn't have RNJesus on their side should stop snorting cocaine As for Ajax, as close as they were to breaking Tottenham, you don't trophies for getting close. Fair play Poch Spurs have gotten RNJesus to save them in the second leg, though RNJesus put them there in the first place, I can't say that Tottenham doesn't have spirit of course they do, but they also had RNJesus too P.S. Liverpool clearly deserves it more

I suppose I’d be as bitter as him too, if my arch rival was playing in the Champions League Final whilst my own team is playing in the little boys cup. Remember. Arsenal is the gift that keeps on giving. They’re the original ‘banter club’. The fans who created a KZbin channel which humiliated themselves. And fans who are so insecure and fragile of any criticism that they even rig online polls 🤣 But let’s give the fella a pass. He’s desperate to be relevant. The men having a conversation whilst he jumps up and down making noise. Give him a toy to play with. Pop a dummy in his mouth. Pat him on his head and tell him mummy will be along to pick him up soon. Arsenal FC. The tiny team from Woolwich.

Football Made Simple Hard to say because I’m not sure which coaches would want to take up another project here. After Poch leaves I imagine a lot of our best players will want to leave too. So whoever comes in will probably have to rebuild again. As it is a lot of players need to be replaced or get backups (Lloris, Jan, Kane, Eriksen, defensive midfield). I would really like Allegri short term but long term Erik ten Hag. Everything he’s done with Ajax, finding the right balance between youth and more experienced players would be perfect for Spurs who tend to buy youth players to develop like Alli, Dier, Kane and Foyth rather than buy big names. If not him maybe Gasprini or Javi Garcia

Spurs always playing as a counter attack team before Poch arrives, so Poch biggest transformations in Spurs tactical approach is ball possessions, he made Spurs being comfort with the ball. quite risky at times, but it helped Spurs mentalities a lot.

Spurs was actually considered to be a possession based team when avb came and sherwood continued it, but there wasn't any quality player in the squad when those two was manager except when bale was there, the signings they made to replace bale didn't make any impact when they came except for eriksen. Poch made this spurs side primarily into a counter pressing team and changed their mentality whilst doing it, he has the right group of players to make this system work and could even bring the best out of players (i.e. dembele, sissoko, walker to name a few)

This video heavily understated the importance of our midfield pivot, and specifically Moussa Dembele in all of this. The biggest reason our 14/15 season was such a mess was because Bentaleb - Mason was defensively shocking, and Fazio was BAD and SLOW. Pochetinno tried installing the press into the team, but without a proper pivot and with such a slow center back, that was just a recipe for leaking goals. Dembele was often deployed as a right winger that season, where he did well as a sort of bulldozer. However it was not until 15/16 where the Dier-Dembele pivot came to be (AND Alderweireld!) that our problems evaporated. Thanks to the defensive solidity we could finally press like we were supposed to and Dembele's press-breaking dribbles were also HUGE. His ability to both breakup play and carry the ball into attack was instrumental to how we played. Pochetinno even said once "Without Dembele we do not exist". Alderweireld's passing ability was also key in reaching our attack (his long balls are sex), and his clean, calm defending (dude's almost never carded) was HUGE for our defense. 16/17 started off poorly, largely because Moussa Dembele was injured and we played a Dier-Wanyama pivot. Wanyama was basically only useful for breaking up enemy play. Offensively he was useless. Eriksen also played like shit until he got a new contract, and missed some games as well. So in short, we were lacking heavily in creativity. After slicing through Man City, we had a stretch of about 10 games in which we barely scored a goal a game (and a third of those were penalties!). THAT killed our season. When Poche switched to 3-4-2-1 he managed to mitigate Wanyama's weaknesses, and bring the most out of Dembele and hence the other attackers. Our fullbacks were amazing that year too. So hence start around December we went on a nigh-unstoppable run. However it was too late to catch up to Chelsea by that point. What then changed in 17/18 was first the loss of Walker and Aurier being abysmal, and second (most important of all) Moussa Dembele started declining. He was playing with constant pain in his hip and was out injured most of the time. I don't think we even got 10 games of him at his peak that season. THAT is why we largely played like shit. Both defensively and offensively we stagnated massively. Wanyama also broke his knee so he was out for the count as well, Dier declined a lot and Rose was often out injured. So our squad was extremely thin that year. 18/19 was pretty much the same story, except for the fact that Moussa Sissoko had a career resurgence. Dembele was virtually useless with all the injuries as well before he left in the winter. Our attack struggled massively this year. Lots and lots of veeerrryyy close wins put us comfortably in third, which turned out to be just enough to prevent our eventual collapse to keep us out of the Champions League spots. Again the problem was that our pivot was only decent defensively and did very little offensively, so Eriksen was wasted doing basically everything in attack instead of allowing him to focus.

@FootballMadeSimple5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew. Spurs are in a very strange situation, this is the best they've been for year (maybe ever) but at the same time there's a sense they're nearing the end of a cycle because their manager might leave if they win, but if they lose they might lose some of their best players. Going forward luckily spurs will be able to spend more money on transfers so they can still be competitive. The upcoming transfer window is pivotal.

He has a greater sense of timing for his subs, is there a way you can show that ? Does he do more now, quicker, than his first two seasons ? That's my perception. He always changes shape several times in games

Poch and Levy stated the Stadium has not aafected transfer budget,, Poch did not want anyone Thats why there was no transfers.
@FootballMadeSimple5 жыл бұрын
Interesting but my instinct is that's a ploy to keep up the morale of the players he has since the window has gone past and to say that he wanted to bring in players may demotivate current players. I'd love to hear your opinion
@DaleTHFC5 жыл бұрын
@@FootballMadeSimple It has been stated many times by both,, Most recently by Poch to Gary Lineker.. As Poch has always stated "I Always tell truth, you should never lie" His main concern was the Squad bond. Who ever came would need to fit in well But, how could he improve an already Very good squad but be satisfied with being on the bench.
