My mom was so physically and mentally abusive growing up. She wanted a daughter. Mom was so disrespectful and demeaning. I knew that deep down inside women would not want me. My brother is the same way. One of the ways it manifests itself is that I’m so soft spoken. So soft spoken people think I’m a woman when I go through the drive thru at fast food drive through. As a little boy mom used to dress in dresses 👗 and do my hair as a girl. Now I’m not only a beta I’m a sissy who loves being used by men. I feel I’m not masculine enough to really attract a woman. I have to disagree with you here that criticism can turn a man into a beta male. Rather, criticism is a good test to find out if a man is more alpha or beta. An alpha male personality will not shrink under criticism because their self-image of strength is what defines them. If a man is disturbed by criticism--especially from a woman--then they are a beta personality and more suited to be a follower than a leader. Beta males can be very intelligent and capable, but they are not leaders. That's the only difference.

It's not a matter of becoming "better". There are certain traits that are considered masculine that shouldn't be. They're traits that I think every human should try to embody. If you find yourself afraid of confrontation or find it hard to stick up for yourself, then that's what you should try to improve upon. It's not all about growing a beard and DIY

Maybe you're right. I feel like i didn't get complemented on my masculine traits much and never developed pride in masculinity enough. Perhaps it led towards me giving up on it. I still wanted to work on myself develop pride myself, often drawn to extreme sports but still never got praise, and sometimes I slip and and just want to get teased by girls. Perhaps I just want the provocation to try and find my masculinity again. Perhaps the winding up and torment I find myself drawn too is me looking for a wake up call to man up. To face scary stuff, and be bold and focused. But sometimes I leave that kind of edge work behind and find myself, for instance, wanting to stay in and be a maid for my girlfriend (but not actually achieving much cleaning) Perhaps wishing she would punish me into it more. Whilst, it may be in someway good that I would clean and serve the lady of the house, If i'm only ever going to get the feeling of being good enough and to feel like an alive and free man by finding my masculinity then its not going to be enough. I think I may need find a way to wake up my masculine spirit more. Though, I still cant imagine not wanting a powerful lady to take care of and serve, who's perhaps demanding, perhaps teases me, and knows what she wants/likes. I'd just also like to further develop my own ability to push through and get the tantalising goal.

I think the feminists movement culture has created a lot of the problem, because it is had to separate the feminists from the ladies in many cases, and men don’t want to get hurt. Perhaps this is why I would more likely pursue a lady that wears long dresses and skirts as a lifestyle, and long hair, things that tend to symbolize femininity that makes her so beautiful if she has the personality to go with the look. Not receiving touch and hugs from my mom made it hard for me, and the fact a friend put his shoes on my crotch and had me do it to him. Physical touch and quality time are the most important to me, but I don’t tolerate being treated like crap from women either. I seek to be a gentleman, and I tend to error on the side of caution approaching women.
