I dont hear people talking about DOOMs production enough, really underrated as a producer

He is unique af. You can see that he wasn't as technical as full time producers, but he had the vision and the skill for suuuure!

I fucking love doom production. he's not THE best beatmaker, but his instrumentals fit his music so perfectly. you can hear how much fun he had flipping these samples - it was like a game for him, and that's why I like him. rip Daniel

METAL FINGERS inspired me to get my mpc1k many moons ago. “Choose your weapon: microphone, beats, or the wheels-of-steel, I own a crown in all three for getting down without a doubt” -MF DOOM

When you are one of the GOATs in one area, it makes sense for other areas to be overlooked. Happy that that didn't discouraged him from making some HEAT on the MPC

how did you find the exact amount he sped up the samples?
@Narokx11 ай бұрын
Depends. Sometimes just resampling to the right pitch will adjust the size perfectly. But other times is not as straight forward. Like if they stretched it without changing pitch, I have to try to match it by waveform, or trial and error

how does he filter out the drums from the original sample or is he just playing over them?

@JamzzProducer18 күн бұрын
A way DOOM and many other producers would find good samples is just hours of listening to records it’s mad tedious but it’s worth it if you make some good beats out of it
@criscamacho555 ай бұрын
brooo, how can i separate the sample by stems??
@BlGGESTBROTHER4 ай бұрын
If you use reason you can use the splicer mode with Mimic to get different stems and then play them with your midi. You can even set your own stems in the transcription window if you want.
