no size doesn't matter on aluminum, I cut mine down to make it easier to move and transport, best thing to do is call your yard and see if they have any requirements due to the way they ship, they may want it under 4 foot to fit into a gaylord box for shipping

ok thanks for the info. I think that I found the one you are talking about in the pic it is blue and 440 lbs. for $42.99. and measures 11 x11 x1 inch thick. I may have to get that one so I can weigh my barrels before I load them.

Next could you explain why aluminum tubing is sometimes extruded and others are sheet. I believe it's all made by the extrusion method but my scrap yard doesn't take it all as extruded. Aluminum lawn chairs broom handles conduit

The grade has to do more with the thickness of material. Thicker alumunium sheet will have the same composition as extruded. That stuff is usually on the thinner side. Conduit sometimes goes as a higher grade than extrusion known as clip. Call/shop around

you would have to ask your yard, as different yard's may grade different, ask if it is the thickness of the aluminum

I have no idea, I don't know where they came from, the guy I got them from bought them from the guy taking them down, then this guy went through them and fixed what he could and resold them, I don't know how long he had them

I am sure you already have hundreds of wire nuts but if you don't you can unscrew those wire nuts when doing off camera work to save up a bunch and you will never have to pay for wire nuts again. You should show us your collection of nuts, bolts, wire nuts and other items you have salvaged over the years. Good day.
