This was awesome! Last season was brutal, the number one thing to fix is the defense, that’s what the coaches are for. It’s also the easiest thing to fix. I’m 72, been a Sox fan for 65 years, every opening day, I think, this is the year. Venable and staff, look impressive Now show us!!!!!

@@MrZinjanthropus It'll be almost an entirely different starting lineup and team generally, with better management and coaching. Maldonado's sure out and poor defense will be gone, and more importantly Griffol who insisted on playing him and his lousy handling of the pitching staff (how many games did the Pen blow?) will be last year's nightmare.

@@hiramnoone What color is the sky in your world? The Sox suck. Different starting lineup doesn't mean better. Better management, based on what? The pen lost games last year is not the coaches fault. The sox will lose between 110-130 games in 2025. It's a garbage organization lead by an owner who refuses to invest in big league talent.

How many six pitch innings or *less* did their "offence" have is a good statistic to look up. Cuz they were *aggressively* bad. Were I an opposing pitcher? I would never have thrown any of them a strike (particularly Vaughn or Robert). Which is why they've gotta have Meidroth in that lineup just to slow those quick innings down enough so that the defense can at least take their seats on the bench before having to go back out there.

Why assuming they’ll be better? They lost Crochet and didn’t really get new MLB talent. I think they will improve to between 50 and 55 wins.

They were so pathetically bad last year, and so inventive in how to blow leads, score first and still find ways to lose a ballgame, that even White Sox fans as they closed in on the record were rooting for them to break it. They were as cursed and bad a team as the '69 Mets were blessed.

The White Sox presently have about the worst starting rotation in major-league history. Not one proven above-average starter. They have only one possible above-average player in the field, Robert, who will probably be traded. They are the equivalent of a 4-A team, somewhere between triple-A and the majors. They will lose 108 games this year. They do have a few good prospects. Let's see if they ruin them.
