When I worked at a car dealership, the GM would deliberately beat on every new car that came in. He reasoned: it would seat the Piston rings better and if something was going to fail, it may as well fail right away before anyone buys it.

Fantastic video..what a car..the front of the C8 is probably the best front on any car..wow! Don't ever come to the UK..well in the Cities. The roads are terrible, pot holes and speed bumps literally everywhere, they will destroy your beautiful car. You have a fantastic garage full of amazing cars. Your a young guy..how do you afford them, what is your profession? I must say though, you Americans get a fantastic bang for your buck, unlike us Brits and Europeans. A $95,000 car here in the UK works out at current exchange rate £72,635. Unfortunately we wouldn't get the C8 at that price. A dealer here in the UK has an advertisement at £80,000 for a bog standard entry level car, not the car you have with all the options. Regards from little old England.

Mike!!! I love your videos, and I watch every single one of them. I sell Chevy vehicles, and one particular option you keep breezing over is driving me crazy. Your ‘Rearview Mirror’ and ‘Rearview Backup Camera’ are two different things. The Rearview Mirror is just that. The center camera on the rear/top of the trunk appears when you flip the mirror switch back. When you flip the switch forward, it returns to a regular mirror. The Backup Camera appears when the vehicle is in reverse, and appears on your radio screen. Both of these are already present on other GM vehicles. I don’t mean to be critical. I just think that you would appreciate those features once you realize they are two different features, and your vehicle is equipped with both. Enjoy that C8!! It’s beautiful!!

I'm sorry but the c8 should have an optional manual transmission. Not everyone is after lap times. A lot of guys buy a Corvette for the experience. A manual is so much more fun to drive over an auto. The dual clutch is cool but it isnt nearly as fun in my opinion.

@@ttamcc.4674 The C8 weighs more overall and has 60%of it's weight in the rear. Torque means nothing if you don't have traction. The car with the most traction will win. And more weight equals more traction. Plus the ZR1 is on track tires which are useless cold

My CLA45 can remote start, I don’t think the dual-clutch transmission prevents certain cars from doing it, it’s just the manufacturer choosing not to install a remote start system. They probably expect the cars to be in a temperature controlled garage where remote start isn’t necessary.

Holy crap, just your options cost $7,000 more than my 2019 Chevy Colorado LT. And it has decent options also. 4WD G80 rear locker, towing package, rear slider window with defroster, remote start. Wish it was a z71 though. The skid plates would’ve nice to have for hunting season. But I’m poor.
