i find it very stupid that as long as you hide it all then it isnt considered cheating. its like if i say im not a murderer/serial killer as long as nobody has found out about it, right? sounds pretty stupid. change my mind using logic

For those of you who don't understand.... Japan is not a christian country with a concept of something like the 10 commandments (beyond honor thy mother and father). They have a different religious philosophy and way of life, keep in mind throughout their history their island nation was prone to many natural disasters. Form following function, the idea was to churn out babies, period. Thus, it's not considered cheating if there was no love confession. Don't try to understand, you're not Japanese.

as a Muslim myself, I wasn't able to wrap my head around their "logic" of cheating because it's a crime punishable by law in Islam. You are genuinely looked as a disgusting person if you cheat on your partner, will have to pay compensation money and also agree to your partner's divorce request without any resistance after you cheat. And if you had kids then child support on top of all that is non-negotiable. Even without those things, how do you betray someone you've decided to commit yourself to? it's so immoral to me

The world is mostly composed of immoral/selfish people, I think that +/- 80% of both men and women will cheat if certain conditions are met. I believe the other 20% have decent morals and strive to behave accordingly. To answer your question directly, I think +/- 20% of Japanese women dont cheat but those +/- 13.000.000 women are of all ages (although mostly older) and are probably less concentrated in big cities.

Of course there are.. Just because A LOT japanese cheat or cheated in the past, doesnt mean that ALL cheat.
