Relocating to NC soon from NY tks for the video. I am aware of the cut however the housing savings alone off sets that.
@alaska3403 жыл бұрын
Also in NY take home is around 70% and NC is 77%, on the same income. I managed to spend less in Charlotte, even tho its not as cheap as I expected. I live uptown, shop in whole foods, traders . Surprisingly Whole foods was cheaper in NYC, due to sales :) Still its not bad. Let's say you are moving to Charlotte to have a peaceful, comfortable life. No dirty streets, no homeless people who are pushing you, yelling at you etc. SO it's all about what you are looking for. Lets talk about $12 water bill lol or $50 electricity bill, having AC on :) Thanks for this video, your make up is very pretty today!

Omg I feel like we are the same person. I currently live in nyc trying to move to Charlotte by mid to late January. I’m also into Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. My main concern is avoiding crazy homeless people and dirty neighborhoods. Is the rent uptown expensive to you ?
@alaska3403 жыл бұрын
@@UnderRatedBeauty88 :)Hi! No, rent is pretty much the same all over, uptown, south end areas offer 2-3 months free rent, which is amazing and building are new. Mine is 1,5 year old. I did not feel safe in NYC, especially past 6-7 months. You wont regret, its nice, clean, air is so fresh, parks and sunny most of the time.
@UnderRatedBeauty883 жыл бұрын
@@alaska340 hi do you know where there are 3-4 months free rent and safe? If I didn’t have family in nyc I probably wouldn’t have felt safe either although it’s a little convenient because I don’t need a car. I will have to get use to driving up there

People aren’t taking into the cost of living into effect when you’re talking about salaries. Obviously if you live in the west coast, like California, you’re expected to make 6 figures because of the cost of living. You’re not going to make less than that, but when you’re living in a one bedroom apartment for 3k, and making 100k, it makes sense to make that amount. This ain’t happening in NC… our cost of living is much lower and the average salary for RN, is right at 32-35$. Mortgage is around 1600$ so it balances itself out.

@lydiamerritt11742 жыл бұрын
And it also depends on the type of nursing you are doing. But you are correct. Nurses are in a lot if fields that really do pay higher, even in nc. But this is still good info

Wow this video couldn’t be anymore than 💯%. I’m relocating down to GA from NY and everyone keeps telling me I’m gonna regret it because of the pay cut. But the quality of life for my kids and myself is so worth it. A lot of nurses in NY don’t realize the cost of living is higher here so of course u get paid more here, but you don’t see it. I can’t wait to move this summer❤️❤️Thank you for your video

As a new RN grad in Northern rural California, I'm on schedule to clear $101,000 my first year as a night shift med/surg nurse at an independent hospital. That's without overtime. With the noc diff, I'm at $54 an hour. It's no issue to clear 100k in California as a new grad.
