In 2022, the starting salary for clinical nurses at Mt. Sinai in New York City was $102,400. However, a new union contract for 2023 raised the starting salary for Mt. Sinai Nurses to $109,500 per year. This contract also stipulates a 6% increase in 2024, bringing the base salary to $116,000 per year, and a further 5% increase in 2025, resulting in a base salary of almost $122,000 per year.
Nurses at Mt. Sinai also receive increases based on their years of experience at the hospital, with an expected increase of about $1,000 for each year worked, up to the 20th year. After the 20th year, the increase drops to about $500 every year.
