My mortgage on a 3bed2bath manufactured home on 6.2 ac is only 1200... Why would anyone live in a over priced city with high crime. The only high crime i have is the amount of damage bugs do to my tomatoes each year and the theft of peaches by the squirrels.

When did you get that mortgage? One of my classmates bought a 2 bed farmhouse on 15 acres in the middle of nowhere and his 30 year, 5% mortgage payment is $1500. Plus a lot of the entry level jobs in those rural areas don’t pay great.

Anyone in an apartment for more then 2 years is going to consider their place affordable. Rents have climbed so much in 2 years and that should be a big question, how long they have lived there. Im in nodthern ontario, small town where 1 bedrooms are 1500 or more. 2 bedrooms start at 2000. I pay 2000 for a whole house but lived here for 10 years.
