I watched the video thinking you'd explain the prices from a stock vehicle, unfortunately not. So for example how much would it cost for a stock 2018 Rs3 to be taken to stage 3 level 600bhp using the best components/hardware available?
@yesme4833 жыл бұрын
so my TTRS is stage 1+ and i was thinking of going stage 3 and gettin the bigger turbos and downpipes.....but my worry is throwing a code for my states safety inspection purposes. Do you think i will get by fine for inspections or will i have to change out the downpipes and remove the tune every year to get my inspection done? Thanks! and great content!

What cost are you looking at for a stage 2, with a sports cat downpipe and what does that consist of as per what you recommend?
@awesomecars13 жыл бұрын
For the same car? Again it depends what brands you choose to use for the hardware as the prices can vary. But with a tune and just a downpipe you're looking at around 2k but we would recommend tcu software and an intercooler for stage 2.

Do you find cars with the TTE700 suffer from more turbo lag due to the larger turbo? Do you need need to be in a higher rev range than you normally would to be in the power band?
@awesomecars13 жыл бұрын
This also depends on the tune for the vehicle, what we run the lag between a larger turbo and a stock is not great enough to notice. The torque is very linear and comes in pretty early :)

@@marktaylor2230 So assuming it's already runnin a stage 1 tune the next step would be stage 2 with an intercooler, downpipe and stage 2 software. We offer RacingLine OEM+ for this which should see it to over 400hp but the most gains will come from a stage 3 turbo replacements which can range from anywhere between 3k to 5k depending on the hardware you require. If you need more information please contact our sales team sales@awesomegti.com and we can get the right set up for you.

With the SRM throttle body would you expect a bit more HP out of pump fuel ? I assume this customer has also had the less restrictive intake installed. All this ttrs people are funny .. a gtr with an exhaust will destroy your full built ttrs
@Mac_F873 жыл бұрын
Are you crazy? A 600hp TTRS has 400bhp/tonne. The 2021 Premium has 313bhp/tonne stock. The GTR needs 720bhp to have the same power to weight ratio.
@awesomecars13 жыл бұрын
Lol yep what he said, also a GTR is an expensive car a stock one won't keep up with a stage 3 TTRS
@MSKJBhd3 жыл бұрын
Yes but it only needs simple bolt ons to beat a stage 3 ttrs which has rebuild engine , turbos and everything. Should be enough to buy a gtr!
@Mac_F873 жыл бұрын
@@MSKJBhd the DAZA and DNWA engines don’t need forging for stage 3 power. When you get into the realms of what Hank Iroz is doing, then yes. A TTE 700 and 777 can be bought on the exchange scheme at half the cost of buying a turbo outright. No matter how you try and dress it up, a stage 3 TTRS is going to work out cheaper than buying a GTR, unless you buy an older GTR. Then for the power needed it’s not simple bolt one anymore, you are looking at £8000- 14000 here in the U.K. to get a GTR to 700-770bhp respectively. A GTR with your “bolt on’s” is not destroying a Stage 3 TTRS, one simple factor is they are the best part of 200-300kg lighter.
@MSKJBhd3 жыл бұрын
@@Mac_F87 Can a ttrs with tte777 and a stock engine pull a gtr with simple bolt ons? Ok so a gtr might be more expensive.. but still the price will hold as you are buying a car with rich history and heritage where else a ttrs will always be just a TT
