Please dont put the BBC in the same bracket. The BBC is something else. Ppl in the UK need to have a BBC liicence to own a T.V. Its funded by the people and its been reporting news for over 100 years. Its BBC world service kept ppl in warzones informed. It is the most non partisan unbiased network that still exists. MSNBC has been entertaining because it presenters are such total clowns. To turn MSNBC into a network with a good reputation and not its current implementation of wild propaganda would mean a different creative team. Comcast appears to be getting rid of the huge messes at MSNBC to make it sellable. It was likely un sellable previously except for its real estate holdings. The price would need to be at fire sale prices. It thinking about making an offer for MSNBC make a study for what can be salvage economically, the cost of instigating some quality programing, then make an offer that makes it very attractive. That might be at 1/10th the past network value without real estate holdings. The name MSNBC has to be changed. MS stands for Microsoft and five letters is too long. For a new name it would the right choice to higher a marketing firm to find one. The new name should be: non political, not associated with anything else, something that's short, reliable sounding that can take on the new reputation.
