So if you want to continue after the end of production, you need to put aside roughly more than GHC 126,020, which makes you have a take home of roughly less than GHC 20,120 (GHC 146,140 - GHC 126,020). And you may also sell the chicks at an outgoing market price which will help with the cost to start another batch of chicks. You also need to reserve from the net profit what you will spend for the next 6 months for the next batch of chicks you will acquire.

It is expensive to go into poultry farming. When does the 2years production start from? Do you use local DOCS because 12 cedis is way below the prices on the market

As at now the average price is 12 cedis. But it ranges from 10-20 cedis depending on where you buy from

Foreign. The two year starting from time of laying depends on how well you take care of the birds. But at any point that their laying starts to reduce, you might have to replace them

Ideally, each chicken is supposed to lay an egg within 24 to 26 hours which is roughly a day, so I suggest you do your calculation and that will tell you if what they are laying is standard or below standard and another thing I will suggest you check is the feed you are giving them, water ( try giving them vitamins ) and check the weather too as too much heat or cold can also affect them and lastly check on the type of birds you bought as some breeds of layers can give an output of about 98%, some 90%, some 80 and even some 70%..Thank you and hope this helps
