If you are going to be your own record label and publisher you are going to foot the bill for every thing you need to succeed.

Record label LLC $100 US. $100 a year state license fee. Good connections can help with legal contracts as much as paying an attorney. Knowing some for approvals always help.

Good point on paying a designer but that could also backfire. A cheesy pro design looking label. I messed up on that aspect. Tried doing it myself.

It cost nothing to start your label unless your state charges you to open a business. If it’s only you then register as a sole proprietorship

Some of my main concerns are the costs of IP, Copyright, and remastering, because I mostly want to republish and or locally release out of print works & albums that aren't available without a VPN in North America by mostly obscure music acts, could you cover these matters as well eventually? Pretty good to start a record label here in South America, no one cares about it thus ....you don't pay taxes or at least not too much taxes as in North America. 💪 And still legal, work under contracts with rules etc.

It cost nothing if you make electronic music I.e. bandcamp, SoundCloud, reverbnation
