I was thinking the same thing. She did mention its a dry area, so I wonder if its prone to desertification or vulnerable to limited access to essential resources, but $100K for ~+3k sq. ft is wow. I imagine those are inflated prices too. Hope she does more of these kind of videos across Colombia. I'd watch the crap out of those. It'd be interesting to compare $, sq footage, accommodations, view & locations

That's not an answer for the question and it's not true either, if you build at the right place building a house like that would be very cheap and it's the same situation in Colombia, if you build that exact same house in one of the main cities it would be way more expensive.

Everything is about tradeoffs and knowing basic economics. If you dont have any connections, dont have the suitable amenities, along with not having a good job either close by or are not rich enough to have everything brought to you, what sense does it make to buy a nice house? It may work if youre use to farm life and living in rural areas but still theres a cost. The house is nice but it doesnt impress me to want to live there if i dont have easy access to everything i need. Give me a small house first than amenities since im not rich.

A house like this in Florida would be between 500K-1.5M depending on the region. If this was in northern Florida like Fort Lauderdale or Orlando for example this would be at least 500K+. Place this down south like Downtown Miami easy 1 million.

Its all about location. This house would cost north of 5 million dollars here in Zürich outskirts but you can comfortably double that the closer you get to the city. I live in 100 sqm in the historic center of Zürich, I could buy 4 of these houses for the price my apartment

Outside of NYC, $2-3 million. In Puerto Rico $500k-$700k; depending whether there is land attached to property or if it’s in a gated community. En Puerto Rico, un solar cuesta $50k-100k, depende del area.

@@MatrixDeception722 Fortunately, I am not an American. I’ve been to the US a few times and I’ve watched a lot of KZbin videos about US homes. Pretty much most of them look very similar in design and made of shitty construction materials which get destroyed by the first strong hurricane. Homes should be built with strong materials like brick or concrete that would be able to stand many decades or even centuries.

Very entertaining and beautiful video (nice drone shots, too). I still wonder how much it costs for utilities and taxes. Aircon in places with cathedral ceilings is very expensive. I'd guess that with 6 younger people in the house, they don't have to worry about burglars since somebody is there all the time. 400-million COP must be for just the building itself. All those furnishings hold globally similar expensive prices. There must be another $100,000 US in the tables, lamps, beds, furniture and such? They could AirBNB their "forgotten room". 😊

$100,000 USD... I own a rather modestly priced 90 m2 condominum in Las Vegas. It was bought in 2004 for $150,000 USD. In the recession, it was as low as $60,000 USD and is currently $220,000 USD. Before home prices went loco in 2021 I wanted to buy a house about 185 m2 at no more than $350,000 USD, and that would be FAR less of a home than shown here. This house is absolutely beautiful just like Colombia. I'll never move from the United States (I don't think), but I do love Colombia, and this would be one more reason to consider doing so!

I live not to far from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and currently due to Covid, prices have gone up tremendously in the building industry, materials are expensive and labor is not cheap, prices range from $120 to $150.00 per square foot for building a house here. I love the house, great design, very creative, modern look, the floors make it seem easy to keep clean, the house looks fantastic. Can a U.S. citizen own property where you live ? Thank you.

My house in the Seattle area cost $400,000 and doesn't look anywhere near as nice and I bought it 8 years ago. It would probably sell for close to $600,000 now. But the real question we need to know is how far away is the nearest futbol team! My Seattle Sounders are only a 20 mile drive away. :)~

That's a very nice house. I love the floors. There's no way to say how much it would cost in the USA. $100,000 is great! That would only happen here if it was at the end of the airport runway or next to the County Jail. Here there are many factors that determine the value of a house. The local schools make a huge difference.
