The 1st foods fed to a baby, especially at this age should be baby cereal with formula or breast-milk. Also don't feel them the sweet foods first or of course they won't want to have the vegetables or anything that is not sweet

I’ve never seen a baby endure/suffer a feeding on so many levels of cluelessness going on at one time and for such a prolonged duration. Most people catch on but these people clearly have no idea what they need to be doing for that adorable 4 month old lil girl or how to read her multiple cues she was throwing out there left and right, to no avail. She is not getting what she needs nutritionally or emotionally. She’s obviously very distressed, not receiving appropriate response & care. She’s totally overwhelmed & confused...and visibly hungry on top of it all, yet none of these adults did anything to acknowledge and ease her growing frustration in any productive way, even though they are responsible for providing an environment consisting of trust, safety, patience, calm, understanding and nurturing at all times, as well as consistency and getting the child’s needs taken care of. You’re supposed to provide and maintain a positive eating experience for the child. We can all see this was not an enjoyable experience for her. And yes, adults need to take the initiative to research and educate themselves on a regular basis to keep up with with new and existing situations and occurrences with the child and how to deal with them in a healthy productive way. What I just witnessed was a train wreck. From what I can see most of the other commenters feel the same way for good reason. For everyone’s sake, please educate yourselves about what/who you’re dealing with. This is a human life that you’re preparing to function in the real world. There’s no shame in not immediately knowing what to do in every situation as long as you recognize that fact and remedy the situation by figuring it out. I feel the need to reiterate the fact that I am disturbed by what I just witnessed. Setting that beautiful doll up for confusion & failure.

Might be if she is used to milk coming from a bottle as fast as she wants to suck it out instead of starting and stopping from a spoon over which someone else has control, she doesn't like the starting and stopping. It may take awhile. Another thought, she is wringing her hands. It is probably stress but it could be something is irritating her hands. Good luck.

This baby has colic and that's why she is ravenously eating. Over feeding her like this will only make her colic worse, in addition to bananas and applesauce both being the wrong foods to feed a baby with colic. Acidic foods make colic worse. I know this video is 10 years old but I posted my comment in case their are any new parents watching this video so they do not make this mistake. I'm not criticizing these parents, they're obviously new parents and don't know any better. A 4 month old baby that is just beginning to eat should not be fed more than 1 to 2 tablespoons of baby food in a serving.
