My PB for a 5km is 34:48. I am quite proud of that as I am still working on losing weight to get into better shape to run further and for longer. Speed isn't as important to as the distance. I am happy that you're able to enjoy running again.

👍 I haven't done any sports for 3 months. Never been much of a runner, more weight training. I started running last week and started with 5k three days in a row (average 38 min). Result: knee pain. The 45 is a great watch for so many people.. you made a good choice there! Yes, try to give yourself a day off between runs.. just let your body absorb everything you're putting through it. Especially if you're doing weights as well. Hope the knee pain settles very soon! All the best!

+1 for the 1080v10, they are the best easy run shoe I’ve ever used, nothing else I’ve tried has come close. I can’t seem to improve much on my 5k PB of 19:55. I worked really hard to run a sub 20min 5k but have since been focusing on bringing my half marathon times down so I feel I’ve neglected my speed work, although my fitness has definitely improved in the last few months it doesn’t seem to reflect in my 5k time!
