That’s 13,245 ounces. Compared to $35.4 trillion, it’s a drop in the ocean of debt created by the currency printers. They can easily crush the price using paper gold futures contracts, and cover the shorts if they get squeezed with a few million printed paper dollars. It’s a scam. Gold and silver are real money. Real wealth. Paper dollars are a money substitute. And soon to be completely worthless.

@@mhughes1160 GoldBacks are fractional gold. If one were to accept ridicule for paying premium for GoldBacks, then it should be noted that all bullion and coin have increasing percentages of premiums attached as the gold weight decreases. Do you accept ridicule for buying an ounce of gold at $2050 when the spot price is $1950, or do you just skip the purchase and throw shade on those who buy it? A 1/10 th oz gold coin might sell for $225 when spot gold is 1/10 oz for $195. Is that too rich for your ability to comprehend?

The Gold Backs are definitely interesting. But I would only buy them for collecting something different and probably just a few. I can't think of a much better way to spend the most money per oz. The pain to recover the gold is also a negative. Which is why I say I'd only buy these to collect something interesting in a limited fashion.

Hey, the gold you pan/high bank can be sold to those who sell "pay dirt" online. You generally get 24k price for it and that means more money than sending it to a refinery. I figure you probably know this since you mention selling some but others may not. But like you say, don't sell any unless you have to. How so? You could buy that bar of gold for much cheaper than with the gold backs. And anyone thinking that them being collectable will get you that value back plus some are only half correct. They definitely could go up in value if they go out of production and a demand grows, but and big but, is that part of the reason for collecting gold is for if the current banking system and or country go down the toilet. If that is the case then you will have massively overpaid on this gold. And if we are bartering gold and other precious metals then you will wish it wasn't stuck in this dumb note. Buying these is only hoping on an increased demand for these exact bills. Not for actual physical gold. If value of gold is what you are after this ain't it

The idea of heating the mold before you pour the ingot is to remove the moisture. This prevents a "steam explosion" when you pour..... I think you should turn off the burner on the mold just before you pour it and see if you can prevent the "wave lines" on top of the ingot and get a perfect mirror finish. Just a thought.

Nope won’t work when you doing it with a flame. This will only work if he remelted the ingot upside down in the same mould ( so no sharp edges on top) in his electric furnace. It will have a far better finish but I think it will get stuck in the mould while they cold down.

Hello old friend. It has been far too long since I was last here to visit with you. I have a stack of these gold notes so this is going to answer a lot of my questions. I have added oxygen to my propane now. What a difference having that extra 2000F deg to the cup. It will easily boil my silver if I am not careful. I sure learned a lot from this post and the right thing to do is send mine to you for processing.Ya rock old friend. I hope to be back a bunch now.Take care eh.

Dean, good to hear from you. Stacking Gold Backs is better than stacking dollars. Long after the dollar is gone and forgotten, those Gold Backs with still be valuable because they contain GOLD. I want to convert to oxy/propane myself. But for now, oxy/acetylene is my current rig. Take care.

I was able to buy an oxygen bottle outright so there is no monthly demurrage charges. I got the regulators for propane from the net. The torch I had. I am using a rosebud tip as well. I really like it. It has about a 9/16 across tip that I still run a nice, long, clean feather at low pressure. Just like a standard tip used for heating. It was a whole new learning as it will still boil silver if not really on the ball. I like the propane as it is easier to manage than acetylene and runs a lot cleaner . A lot less $ as well.@@sreetips

Hello again. @@sreetips I had oxy.propane on my cutting table at work. 2-1/2 inch TQ100 plate was cut with ease. It was a no brainer when setting up the new bench as it runs sooooo much less expensive than Acetylene. No black thingies'' floating around the shop and adding the oxygen gave me all the heat I will ever need. I was able to purchase my oxygen bottle outright so no monthly charges. $80.00 per fill when needed. A rosebud tip run low and just enough gas for just the right heat. Not too high and a full 1/2 inch wide flame. It is awesome. I have always wondered why propane tips are so different from Acetylene ? If anyone knows I will sure like to hear from them and I will pass that along to everyone. Nice easy day on this Xmas post. See you again and take care old friend.

I can’t see the justification how a 50 costs $200 when it has just over $100 of gold in it. They can’t be legal tender and only worth the gold that is in them. So if you go into a shop can you only get $50 worth of goods and if so then they are useless. I do not understand and looking online tells you nothing but what they cost to buy, sreetips showing the gold has 1/2 that number and on the note it says 50.

@kivie13 Жыл бұрын
@@Vile_Entity_3545 Its called utility value. Just like you would not sell your perfectly good running vehicle for its melt value you would not sell your Goldbacks for their melt value which is the spot price. Goldbacks are worth more than the spot price due to its utility value of them being put into a hyper fractional spendable form which are being accepted by a lot of businesses in their home states. The premium or utility value stays with the Goldback as long as that Goldback retains its utility (form factor). If you have GBs that you try to spend at a business and that business owner tries to accept them at spot then they are trying to get one over on you just as if a business tried to sell you a gallon of milk for 50 dollars and you would do what any normal person would do and that is go elsewhere to buy your milk. In the end, the market decides the value and it seems that especially for the one denomination its actually above a 100 percent premium in a few places. If anything this deconstruction process shows just how much goes into a Goldback and it's an amazing technology.

@@shotout74 not true on every point you tried to make……$1200 as a business expense where he got a $800-$900 return is a loss yes, but in content creator expenses is a very small one. Most KZbinrs lose money on the production of their videos (just for “entertainment purposes” because what else are they creating the content for?!) and make it back plus profit on the back end. AND every single one of his videos INCLUDE expenses….BUYING the scrap gold itself (it doesn’t just magically appear)…..BUYING the chemicals (which aren’t cheap) $1200 is very cheap to produce content especially when 2/3s if that investment comes back just in the final product alone

@@ap3314, that’s right, but the gold content is stated on the goldback and that’s right at what he recovered. The difference in price and yield is the cost of producing them. Some people might call that “premium”. That difference being so high is why I only bought a few when this was a new thing, just to see. I haven’t bought any since and I don’t foresee ever buying any more. There are better, more efficient ways to accumulate gold.

Gold and silver are money. Paper dollars are money substitutes, that can be printed into existence. Gold can’t be printed. Just think about that. The dollar will fade into obscurity like all other forms of fiat money. But gold will still be valuable long after the dollar is gone. Paper dollars rely on a government to give them value, third-party validation, they call it. But GOLD needs no third-party validation. Gold stands on its own. You don’t have to wait for them to put you on a gold standard. You can go on the gold standard yourself. Just take part of your earnings (10% is a good number) convert it into gold (karat jewelry is an excellent way to hold gold, it will track right on up with gold bullion) put it away, and forget about it. If you need paper to pay bills or buy food, then just sell a little of your gold. It’s easy. And they can’t print more gold!
