Love the byzantine architecture. What do you call those corner pillars of the keep?

I assume you mean the columns on the corners of each tower/jutting part of the keep, those are pilasters. Invented by the Romans, they are basically decorative elements to give the appearance of a column (in contrast to engaged columns, which are similarly embedded in walls but still support the structure). The Romans, Byzantines and Italian Renaissance architects loved them a lot

The large circle is the area of effect for villagers gather increase - the squares are the slots that effect the buildings

the amount of resources you have to spend on just 26% more effiency and only in a limited area while other civs like Rus and Abbasids get more Percantages for free and for all villagers all over the map is unfair I think.

Byzantines are a crap civ for multiple reasons and this is one of them but unfortunately the Conq IV players have their heads too far up their own anus to understand basic mathematics and so do the devs.

I also hate this map. The problem is if you want to expand you have to leave the that fort, then you're exposed.
