2% in nothing when prices are going up 10-20% on everything. Food prices are out of control , rent and houses prices are crazy high - up 50% in the past few years... and cable TV bills, apps etc are all increasing more than 2% .

Congress will vote themselves the "average" pay raise, correct? Wishful thinking, I know... They will vote themselves a 25% increase.

Whatever federal civilians get military should get and vice versa. How is it fair for federal civilians to get 2% and military 4.5%

Wage Grade gets their COLA in October but don't actually get it until around April via back pay. If a WG retires in that period between effective date and paid date, they are owed the raise, the added amount to their Annual Leave payout, and the slightly higher retirement calculation from that COLA. It is often unknown by the retiree and sadly, their HR retirement specialist because they only think of the GS January rule. This issue could be a video topic onto itself.

Do federal workers earn 1% per year on retirement or .08% per month? Like the military figure out the total percentage at retirement.

Does this raise affect pension? In other words, does any raise by congress correspond with a raise in retired pay?
