Tap water in Bangkok, Thailand has been verified as clean by World Health Organization(WHO) standards since about 30 years ago. That means the water coming out of the tap is just as clean as water coming out of the valve in Los Angeles, London or Stockholm because use the same standard(Many Thais do not know because water here is cheap) and while Thai drink cheap water and plus many do not believe in the government projects so they tell foreigners like that and that's made a lot of the foreigners thought there are Some Chemical in the water?? or somethings you couldn't drink??? I have to tell you guys it's not. It's all about Although the water that is provided by the water authority in Bangkok is absolutely drinkable but when it leaves the plant, it will usually move through old, and broken pipes before it enters your tap. It is possibly causing the water to be unsafe to drink due to contamination when it comes to your house, building, or hotel (from internet) and I think Tap water at many countries too if it's too old and never change a new pipe, it not drinkable too my friend, my Thai friends who worked in the states told me he has to buy water over there too because sometimes the water taste very very bad and weird while many people over there still drink he said because water over there very expensive and that's why many local Thai people said Bangkok water cannot drink and water here is really cheap like 10-20 cents for a cold bottle of water and you can buy it anywhere you want because there are 7-11 in every corner and every streets where you go. I didn't mean I want you guys to drink the free water here because I buy water here too because it's very cheap and feeling fresh when open new bottle to drink and at home I used the purifier machine before drink because I thought like many people too but I have to tell this thing because I saw a lot of misunderstood on internet and even many Thais still do not known and made many foreigners misunderstood too. Yes, it's the same standard but who want to try to taste water from many years old pipes. LOL

The taste and smell are the main issues I reckon

@@jaysgardenandphotography yes, I know. You mean here in Bangkok or some where else? Because here I do not drink from tap too, I used water purifier like everyone here does because I'm afraid of those problems too.😢

It's still a risk to drink it from Thai myself unless you have some kind of water purifier machine at home. You don't know what is inside the water, just buy like pack of 6 bottles of water.

@@ultimatesheep yes almost every houses in Bangkok have water purifier, it's really famous here since I was a kid(now 40+)and noone here drink tap water because no need and everyone just felt why I have to risk, and that's why many Thai still spread the wrong information about Thai tap to any foreign friends just from their guessed. And that's why I tried to tell the fact here to any foreigners and all Thais too, for me as a Bangkokian like I said I never drink Tap water here before too because our parents thought us like that since we were a kid, but I have to give this information because noone here even Thais do not known or never research that Thailand used the same way to purified water as the same as another countries in Europe, and many Thai workers in the States still have to buy water to drink overthere too because the water there always taste weird and they not use too and they just thought weird taste of water means you cannot drink that water(many Thai overseas talked about this problem on internet too) but many Thai do not know that when they go to Europe or USA the water overthere taste weird too sometimes, for me I have my experience when I was studied in New Zealand when I was a kid, I have to buy water to drink overthere too because the Tap water there have a little light white color like milk feeling you have to wait just a moment to wait for the watet to look transparent and drink it and I'm not use to it too, yes I drank it a lot but the feeling was not good my friend. Lol

We have some of the cleanest drinking water in the world here in Sweden, and there's no comparison to countries like... the US, so I really doubt that the standard of water in Thailand is the same. We have really high standards and rigid regulations for government supplied water here. 😅

You shouldnt drink tap water from random sink because the pipe itself not the water quality. But the water itself is drinkable.
Yeah One man in the vdo. I don't know what your name. But you seem to be professional of living in thailand. That's how you can save your money here. Thailand can be save or can be waste a lot of money at the same time. Even with the same food. It depend on where you looking for

How do they spend so little? I spend about 10k per week. Also, the price for movie tickets is wrong. It's 280 for regular seats and 380 for "honeymoon" seats. At least at Mega Bangna.

If out of Bangkok, 3k is actually enough. And not over 200 for a movie ticket. In Chiangmai.

@@oshdi8589 I’ve lived in Chiang Mai. It’s cheaper than Bangkok. But not that much cheaper. At least if you want to live decently. Other than Phuket, which is the most expensive place to live, and Bangkok, Chiang Mai is easily the most expensive place in Thailand.
