Congratulations, my man. You deserve to be proud of your build. No matter what you spent. I have a 2013 Race Red Focus ST. Full bolt-ons, stage 3 tune, daily driven (180000KM), and I love my ride to death. Forget about what haters say. And stand by your Hot Hatch til the end of days! Torque Steer Brother 😎

Don't feel bad. All car guys spend to much on modding there cars. It's just a part of the journey. But I dig your speed. I just drove my speed 3for the first time today after the engine swap. Im already looking at further mods lol... It never stops. Cool vid. Don't stop enjoying your ride!!! You deserve it.

“Im already looking at further mods lol…” that part had me laughing bro. I’m getting my speed3 back next week after 3 long months and I’m trying to resist the urge to look at further mods… come Spring though I already know I’m going to lose against the urge and buy some wider rims to gain traction.
@CBosridesandreviews3 жыл бұрын
@@rodrigosuarez586 it's hard to see your speed 3 just sitting there. Mine sat for 13 months(13 long months). Currently looking at catted downpipes. Just want a better rumble now. I know your going to be excited when you get it back. I was hoping up and down like a kid when it started after the engine swap. Good luck to ya!

I rebuild my engine 3½ years ago - Bottom end upgrade to handle 500hp max. I only upgrade the valve seals and springs for the heads + ARP head studs. Stock k04+manifold, resonator+muffler. Deleted the cat con, egr and balance shaft. 300whp/470Nm@18psi on 100 octane pump gas. I do have other parts that I didn't install bcoz I don't feel the need for it yet.

Awesome build. My only change would be getting rid the carbon fiber cold air intake duct to keep things symmetrical and visually pleasing. Instead, I'd use the hood scoop as the air intake since you're using a front mounted intercooler. I'd relocate the air filter to the left side of the firewall. Then split and reroute the channels from the hood scoop to send air to the air filter on the left side, and air to pass over the turbo on the right side to draw heat away. Customize some heat shields and sheet metal with thermal reflectors to isolate the air filter, turbo, and engine to keep a nice air flow from entrance to exit.

I feel you bro, I'm scared to do this list but that's why I've started making my stuff EGR delete kits, coil pack rotation kits, valve cover heat shields and short shift plates to sell. I've figured if i can make it I'll do it and the mark up on cosmetic mods is ridiculous. I'm done spending that much, in Australia a good dyno tune from a respected tuner your looking at $1000 and about $500-$600 from touch up tunes. Adding man you got some red hot deals your dollar to the aus dollar is pretty much the same so I'm might have you buy about $2k-3k but at the start I bout new stuff early , man if i only new then what i know now I'd saved a ton.

Make sure whatever you do, you clean and lube them like crazy before installing. I didn’t realize how much lubrication it needed, I installed them and they were sticking and I was worried that I did something wrong. I had to take them out, disassemble, re-lube and re-assemble and now they work great. Just lube them like crazy for real.

Owning a 2nd Gen myself, before at 3:10 before you start the list I'm going to guess about $10k-11k CAD. Could be a bit less cause can't remember what all was used but if everything was new it would be over $15k for sure. These aren't civics we're building. Sheesh were in over $1000 before we even start with an AP and HPFP.

Damn $4k on performance mods to only make 300hp big yikes for me
@francoisdesmarais15322 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind the guy spent 4k on nothing that makes more power for him. Hes got a lot of the parts required to make more and some that were not needed in the first place(cx7 injectors?). Better off with a new intake that fixes the #3 cylinder flow problems and a same lenght manifold, then the tune and he coulda run 400whp witbout problems for slightly more $.
@joshuamoonilal45783 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t make sense you only have 300. They come stalk with around 220 wheel and 260hp so how is it with all these mods you only have 300?

Basic economic concept of marginal utility. If every dollar you spend provides you with an amount of enjoyment/quality of life that can’t be outweighed elsewhere it’s worth it to you, and that’s all that matters
