Aw we live in Gosport which is just down the road from Fareham xxx youve come along way since your first vlogs ❤❤❤❤ the more i watch you the more respect i have for what you have achieved and to have the guts to give up your job. I can relate as 20 years ago i walked out of a job up in leeds and moved down to portsmouth to be with my partner. Its all worked out lovely. I dont know if you still busk, but those rules in chichester are completely unenforceable. Its a voluntary scheme. Busking in the UK is reasonable use of a public higway, and its specifically listed as an unregulated activity in the live performance act, meaning regulating it is unlawful, basically play wherever you qnt, and dont let the council try to stop you :D

@@the_groovy_life And (maybe more important) you won't please everyone every time. When I'm stressed and overwhelmed, I can't have somebody else's music playing while I'm thinking about something or when I need to focus to get the right things at the right places. The psychology between buskers and pedestrians is quite complicated, because not only you're afraid to play, but other people are afraid to approach you. So appreciate the little things like nods and smiles, especially when you're starting. As you get more comfortable and appear more casual, people will loosen up as well. Also you're not the star of the show here, you somewhat make the soundscape of the city more beautiful and that's what people tip you for.

Where i busk, everyone has headphones in or are yapping on their phone. They will give a homeless drunk 5$ for more liquor and 25 cents for me, if they even bothered to take their headphones out. There is no money in busking anymore. Half of millenials dont listen to music and 99% of gen z could care less about music. All the music they grew up with sucked.
