Many people get a masters in economics and then turn around and get their MBA, these people go on to become CEOs/owners. People who pursue only an economics degree, even with a high GPA, tend to become employees exclusively.

Isn't kind of obvious that people under 2.8 GPA would be more likely to not major in Economics? Asides from the few discrepancies you mentioned, the vast majority of those under the 2.8 couldn't join because of the GPA requirement.

Go do masters from some good institutes lile isi, dse, iits, ashoka, even cu and madras school of mathematics these are the institutions which fetch a good job I m assuming u live in India
