Omg, not worth sharing paying this amount. Sure, you can live here as a digital nomad, but you would need to do visa run after 3 months

VietNam does not provide retirement visa, digital nomad still have to pay taxes now. You must find a job in a domestic company which needs your skill and they will sponsor for a 2 year visa exemption. All of other purposes will be granted a 3 month visa. Renewal is permanently allowed. Only Laotian, Cuban, Palestinian are granted permanent residence and they can apply for citizenship if they are known to do work that benefit Viet Nam. All oversea Vietnamese who has not renounced Vietnamese citizenship can apply to reclaim it. Viet Nam accept dual-citizenship.

If you are frugal it’s definitely yes, there are right prices for everyone. It’s just depends on on your lifestyle. But 1000 usd is enough for most people
