In Poland many people took swiss mortgages like 15-10 years ago, and now because of currencies change between pln chf, pln weakened the amount of money to pay to banks doubled/tripled and many people lost their homes or defaulted. It's very taboo topic in Poland. Adult people took responsibilities and thought they were the smartest people alive when the pln was stronger, but then when the cards reversed they don't want to meet with those results and scream for bailouts from goverment...

@@RollsReus-tm6hu What risks? Bankers will never go bankrupt and pay for their mistakes, either government will save them because they're "too big to fail" e.g. Greek financial crisis or they will continue to make business as usual under another bank who will acquire them and all debts will be written off...
@RollsReus-tm6hu
@RollsReus-tm6hu Жыл бұрын
@@veduci22 classic “down with the big banks” hate spewing that blinds itself to what their actual purpose is. They mitigate risks their clients face, i.e. corporations. So say a Company just borrowed a shit ton of money at a floating rate of interest, which is the same idea as an adjustable rate mortgage. Now, say the Company is nervous about rates shooting through the roof and their interest expenses skyrocketing. The Bank can sell you products which mitigate the potential damaging. A interest rate cap or a swap for example would help with this. It’s a separate service than writing the loan. It gets more and more complex from there but you get the idea.

in fact its not as expensive as they say, minimum wage is 20/h and thats like a pizza deliveryguy wage, for retail or service its 23-25 min. thats 4.2k a month and you can cover all your bills with 2k comfortably. now you can easily make more money based on the field and where you work. i make 90k as a lifeguard at the pool as a start, thats 6.5k a month and all you need is a course that costs 1.2k. but only if you work for the city they pay very well and have great pension plans.

Remember to consider higher positions will require a master's degree, so factor those years (and costs) in as well. You have to get your bachelor's degree (4 years) then your master's can be 1-2 years, so after costs and 10-16 years, you can make 300-400k. This is still a great ratio, cause most people will never make nearly that much.

The minimum wage in Switzerland is, 23CHF, equivalent to £20. Already that is like double the minimum wage of people in the UK. I’m pretty sure some bankers over here will pull in £100k-£150k salary which will be equivalent to what’s being made in Switzerland. Don’t get me wrong tho only the experienced bankers on big bonuses and commissions.
