I love how you are realistic and positive in a very genuine way. I've been having a hard time. Went through a huge depression episode - actually still in it. Your information has become very important to me in giving me hope. I've learned much more than just e-commerce. I actually have a something to strive for. Struggling with money and worrying how you're going to survive is not fun - I'm there, after all. Hope. Maybe that's what I needed. I've recently set up my store in kind of a book setting niche. I'm hoping something works, or else I'm off to making Fortnight videos. loooool

@johndough29266 жыл бұрын
so ... while the theory of the 1 ad-set at $5 to test a product is correct. It is also a little unrealistic in terms of success. There are tons of different audiences to test and tons of different variables to take into account to test for. Age, Sex, Location, Interests, Platform, Placement, and the list goes on. So while you can have just one ad-set running at $5 a day, it is highly unlikely you will hit a winner that way. Some have of course, but they are what are known as an outlier on a graph. The reality is most people that thoroughly test products run a single Facebook campaign that has 5, 10, 20, 50 or more even, different ad-sets to test different audiences. Each ad-set has it's own daily budget. That means if you have an item that has several different angles and audiences that could be buyers, the more ad-set you are going to have. I personally will not test an item with less that 5 ad-sets and I more times than not, will have 10 or more ad-sets per item. So in terms of a marketing budget this is a more realistic amount: video used 20 total products to test as example so ill go off that number. 1 product budget: - $5 daily budget - 10 Different ad-sets - 3 days - 5 x 10 = $50 daily budget - $50 x 3 days = $150 total budget for one item - 20 items x $150 total budget for one item = $3,000 total budget to test 20 items at $5 ad day for 3 days each. This is just a rough estimate and you could definitely spend less, but you could also spend a lot more. On top of that you could do your testing and still not find a winning product. It basically comes down to how good your product(s) is/are, how good you are with Facebook marketing and finding the right audience for your product, and how much money you are willing to potentially lose until you find a product that produces sales. Not to scare, but that is the reality of it. Risk vs Reward. Good luck!
@WholesaleTed6 жыл бұрын
When testing products, you don't need to do this many tests per product. A basic test targeting a broader audience and choosing very obviously-related interests in targeting is more than enough for most people to eventually find a winner without having to run lots and lots of different ads. Once you find a winning product though you can then go much deeper though of course! The reason most people don't find winners is usually more to do with their ad copy/website/giving up too early :)

Hello I just wanted to thank you for your open and honest information about drop shipping using shopify and other platforms. You are 100% correct. one thing I don’t understand after watching a lot of dropshipping videos is do I need only one shopify store for all items (even if the items are unrelated, i.e beauty products and electonics) or do I need to pay for a shopify store for each item that I want to sell? I haven’t seen any videos that explain this. Thank you for all your videos!

honesly , i respect ur point of view sarah BUT that's what i do : 1) $30 shopify store 2) $15 domain name or $2-->$9 from GoDaddy and others 3) $0 on apps 4) $0 on ads , 5) $0 to fulfill the orders , i use my credit cards , *) thats it i pay $55max , am good to go , sometimes u can do it for $3 if u're damn broke , but u nedd to be damn fast&smart& know what to do , just $3 on domain name.

When choosing to drop ship I must pay for all the orders my customer makes? For clarification, I sell over $2000 on my site. I need to have that available to pay the drop shipping company until the purchase is finalized (I.e. my customer payments clear), which could be 3 - 4 weeks after each purchase, correct?

I'm looking for a job for no other reason than to start my dropshipping store. Also going to get certified by Google for Google Ads so I can put myself out there for that as well. I've worked for others and even in this economy of jobs-a-plenty it's difficult to get a job especially for the older workers groups. Employers are way too picky. So instead of working for them anymore, I'm going to work for myself.
