Keep your eyes out for used compressors. I picked my 40gal 4hp US made Speedaire up for $250. Changed the oil & air filter, then added a drain valve assembly to make that easier and it's been chugging along every since.

I was given an Ingersol Rand 200 gallon compressor that I was going to put in my shop when I build it. It has a brand new controller and motor but I am not going to use it. Watching a few videos of used compressors exploding due to interior rust and the incredible devastation an exploding tank can cause I am now a bit paranoid about it. The tank I have could literally write off one of my irreplaceable vehicles or myself or a loved one.

pretty nice explanation! i have almost same setup. the only thing i do differently is i have a little ladder i get on to snap a picture of my table and sheet of metal. then import it in Fusion and i use it to gather all part i want to cut from the start (in the manufacture i then start by cutting the small things first). i used to cut each part individually before and someone showed me the picture trick... i thought about mounting a webcam but its easy for now to snap a picture with my phone... great video!!

Love your videos! Any recommendations to start a CNC plasma business? Like the minimum machines I need. I'm making a shopping list (wish list) right now. So far I'm thinking (#1) Langmuir Systems Crossfire XR (#2) Razorweld 45 PAC (#3) An air compressor big enough for the PAC. That's all I have so far. Anything else you recommend immediately getting? Besides a welder and the metal lol.

Glad your enjoying the videos. Maybe a cheap air dryer. I would look into the machine torch instead of the handheld. If they dont offer that as an option the handheld works fine. That Milwaukee die grinder with flapper discs is pretty handy to clean up cuts. You can download fusion and start practicing CAD before u get the machine.

There seems to be a lot of sparks above the metal. This leads me to think the machine is either moving too fast or under powered for the torch. Is that a PTM80 Straight Torch? What size of hole in the tip? A 45A machine is not meant to run a tip in a P80 torch larger than 1.1mm.
