I speak three languages English, French and my native one that is Spanish, I am learning russi but not so sure Whether I start on Italki or look a job occupation the thing is that Ive been one year jobless already. :'3

Interesting! Thanks for all your content: I’m a huge fan of your Thai material. Could you share any strategies for attracting students on italki when you’re teaching a language you’re not native in? I’ve taught my native language (Swedish) for years, but I’d love to expand to other languages I know well (English, French, Thai, Ancient Greek…). However, every time I’ve offered other lessons, it seems like they’re almost invisible.

Hi Thank you for your comment I’m not sure how it really works. I never really optimized for it but somehow I got students for the other languages I teach. Mostly Spanish, French , and Korean though. I don’t get many students for my English , Indonesian classes though.

Hi Grace! Other than your native Language Thai how do you manage to teach others if you are not sufficiently fluent in that foreign language? Also who are your target students? Wouldn't your students question your proficiency level in the language that you teach? With all due respect can you please enlighten me? Thank you.

I only teach only beginners up to a certain level. I chose the vocabularies and structures that beginners should know I think since I learned the language I understand the struggle the student might face as well. Sometimes students contact me and tell me they are b2,b1 so I tell them I can’t really teach them but if they want we can just converse

I have a question: do you get a lot of students who are interested in learning lesser studied languages? I want to teach my native language (Portuguese) but it's not a popular language to learn so I'm afraid I won't get any students

Hey I actually think Portuguese is popular. Thai is less popular and I get a lot of students.
