haha interesting to know that 10mil yen is about the expectation that most women in japan would want. higher than the average japanese pay. In singapore (my country), our average is pretty close to 7mil ~ yen , but i doubt alot r earning that much tbh (cos the higher end is balanced by alot of foreign expats earning alot more times than singaporeans). Personally i earn close/slightly more than 10 mil jpy in singapore but its nothing much to be proud of since everything is so expensive lol and there are alot more pple who earn way alot i would think 5-6mil yen is a pretty good amt to get by in japan for sure.

i think in singapore. most people only make 3000sgd. i only hear 1 person that say he earn 5000sgd per month. never heard people make more than that. probably the average salary calculated by some people that earn much more than other. including doctor or lawyer.

I feel like they just say whatever their friend says, like they are too nervous to put their opinions out and just follow the rest. And also like the west, most girls have their perspective of reality really twisted. Finding a guy with that income is going to be hard and competitive for you

I'm Japanese. The first sentence in your comment is honest and heartbreaking to me haha, but actually there's a tendency for Japanere people along those lines. It's not because they are too nervous😂

The difference is that Japanese women are feminine and are not afraid to be feminine unlike in the west. I would say that you win in the long run if you date a Japanese woman rather than a Western woman. And as you can see in the video there are some who wouldn't care if you got less money than the annual average so...

I love the part when the woman says her ideal wage would be 10 million yen a year and her husband just cracks up after hearing that. So hilarious 😂🤣

it disturbs me how earning a lot of money is the no1 criteria there. it's as if people don't date/marry out of love but for the sake of money and raising a family instead(knowing the problems marriages face here, can't say i'm surprised). well, it's like this everywhere but money seems to be very important to women in asia, more so than in europe in my experience. family pressure/tradition surely play a big part in this.
@ImLure Жыл бұрын
Humans are animals, we focus our attention on survival. If you keep those two things in check when dealing with like, you will understand why money is the no1 factor. Money provides stability. That stabilities includes gathering life necessities like food and water. If money did not exist, then a man’s strong and physique would be the no1 thing for women as it provides stability (protection, ability to gather resources). We as men cannot blame women for wanting stability first before love as that is the most logic thing, but you can blame women for having illogical expectations such as “I want a man who makes $300k and up” when she doesn’t provide any other thing but using oxygen to survive

@@ImLure you don't need 10m yen even for a big family in tokyo, that's the thing. i'm not saying people should be content being poor as people have different focus in life, and raising a family definitely needs a lot of money in order to provide for them and guarantee a certain level of safety, but a lot of people are taking this way too far with unrealistic standards. these people will realize that finding someone who is making 6-10m will be quite rare, and either they'll get lucky or they won't and will have to settle with someone whose income is a bit more average. the reason why most of these people just want someone with a big income is mainly so that they can stay at home after the kids are born, while the bread maker keeps working, which i find quite lazy. it's pretty ingrained in asian culture that the man must work, and the woman has to take care of the children, and while thankfully this trend seems to slowly be shifting, it is still present nonetheless (due to different history and culture). anyway, there's a difference between wanting your man to bring enough bread to cater to the family's needs and someone who just wants a rich partner so that they can take it easy.

This is not an asian thing. This is (probably) a Japanese thing. In my country(vietnam), women work their ass off before and after marriage, no matter if the husband is a highincome earner or not. The society expect us to both work and take care of the household chores/children..etc.

they're not really marrying for money but Japanese people generally are extremely risk averse and want security. anything that provides security is high on their list. they also know that financial issues are one of the biggest issues in marriage. they'd rather not marry than marry somebody they don't feel is extremely financially secure. exceptions exist but generally they're like that.
@ImLure Жыл бұрын
@@realjohnwicknothing you said is incorrect or wrong. I just think that wanting to be secure shouldn’t be looked down upon. To me, it’s different when a women wants someone to make that much but wants it so she can continue to buy flashy things or be spoiled. In the Japanese women’s case, their financial situation cannot be compared to most of the world as their currency is forcibly and intentionally being weakened on purpose by their government so their exports are more easier to be bought on the market. This causes two things, Salaries to never meet living standards, People being more financially risk adverse And women, especially in Japan are VERY financially risk adverse. It’s just a negative feedback loop
