Totally agree, I picked up a dumpster couch that was very nice in my tiny car from the rich side of town. It took multiple trips with me holding onto the hatchback door and the end of the couch to keep it in while my dad drove. Used it for a couple of years then sold it for $400. Not bad for a free couch.

All of these divorce-nightmare scenarios really depend a lot on what State you are in. I'm a lawyer in Texas, and our laws are some of the most favorable to the breadwinner in a divorce. It's not easy to get alimony here! If you are planning on getting married you should probably look into your State's laws so you have an idea what you are in for in the event of a divorce.

@@foodmens you're right, I fixed it. I would not suggest nowadays to even do it once. I guess I was saying give it a shot, but I can't even say that is a good idea anymore. Based on the divorce rates, and the quality of today's choices. Stay unmarried, enjoy your life.

Dave even for brief moment said something that hinted that he wanted to stop you from sacrificing yourself to the SIMP Blood God by saying , "well you aren't a "we" yet until you are married", but then the SIMP Blood God grabbed ahold of him and Dave started talking about craigslist furniture to distract you from the fact that you are turning yourself into a savory delicious blood sacrifice to pay off her $80k bad choices that had nothing to do with you. This is my comedic attempt to tell you that you should postpone the wedding until she pays off her debt and you pay off yours. If this takes so long that she wants to dump you and find another sucker boyfriend, then let her go on her merry way, and you go find a different chic that doesn't have this kind of debt. Please allow the blood to return from your lower head and back into your upper head so you can see rationally on this decision. By the way, if you bought an engagement ring, if you call off the wedding, she legally has to return it to you since, you never married. There were plenty of Judge Judy cases where fiance's tried to keep the engagement ring, but they were ruled to return it since the wedding never took place.

Why are you getting married at all in today's day and age? Luke is an idiot for even considering marriage. It is the only contract that a man will sign where he will lose 100% of the time if the contract doesn't work out. Also, there are no benefits to marriage anymore. Women are bringing less to the table then ever before.
