Hi Jay My husband has been a truck driver for years. He recently purchased a dump truck. However before he can drive he has to worker’s compensation. Is it necessary to have that with Medicare? He is also required to have a 1 million dollars in insurance.

I’ve heard people just add you as a co owner so you don’t need workers comp. And a general liability and on the truck million dollar coverage is a minimum and a must.

Liability insurance isn't that bad, as a building I am required to carry a 2 million policy, around a grand a year.
