I learned more about my digestive system in this 17 minute video than in the hours of appointments with oncologist, surgeons, radiologist, gastrologists, and nutritional experts. I've suffered with constipation all my adult life, it began during pregnancy with my first baby. It was chronic and got worse with each of the 4 children. I struggled to lose weight no matter what diet or exercise program. At age 40 I finally went and had colonic irrigation with a Chinese practitioner.....this was after I had been diagnosed with gall stones which I passed in agonizing pain. I was over weight and felt like garbage. The first day I was on the machine for 2 and a half hours and the amount of old feces that came out was huge. I felt much lighter after amd my swollen belly went down somewhat. I went back the second day and had the procedure again but there wasn't much left and I was completely empty in 10 minutes. The relief was tremendous and I felt much lighter. I stuck to a healthier diet after that but still suffered constipation until I went on a low carb diet and lost a huge amount of weight. The constipation got much better as there wasn't much bulk made up of bread and carbs. Just low fat protein and lots of salads and green veges. It's the only diet that has ever worked for me.

Yep, I swear by low carb. i lost 45 lbs. in six months and it was not difficult and I did not deny myself anything. Constipated for all your adult life but cleaned your colon out COMPLETELY in 2 hours ? 😂 ppl who struggle with chronic constipation go 3 times a week and are releasing more and more through the sessions. I don’t think you were completely cleaned out. Just because maybe not much didn’t come out the second time it doesn’t mean there was no more left lol
@juanitarichards10749 ай бұрын
Yes I was completely cleaned out after the second session. I felt much lighter and my stomach was flatter. I felt better had much less gas etc. Not only that, we could see what was coming out in a large clear pipe......I could feel the water swirling right up into my upper intestines. They varied the water temperature from warm to cold to stimulate further elimination. At the end they gave me a tablet to put back the natural back the natural flora and fauna. I felt so much better and I slept better. It was a reset for me to eat better and exercise more. It also cleaned out the gall stone debris after I had and passed gall stones, the pain of which was horrendous, as was the nausea. The pain relief prescribed knocked me out and I was in a zombie like state. The buzzing acupuncture needles helped with that, as did the heat lamp applied to my abdomen at the same time. It was after this that I had the deep colonic irrigation, which was very different from an enema, which only cleans the lower bowel out. I could certainly feel the difference. @@MarioHernandez-bn6pm

This guy is not mentioning the following. The biggest problem for intestinal fecal buildup is the constant consumption of medication and alcohol which deeply slows down the intestinal pushing. When this happens it's called Paralytic ILeus. That could go on for weeks. I had family with constipation problems where they did not go to the bathroom for weeks and they went to the doctor and took X-Rays and the doctor told them that the mass was so dense they had to take further tests to make sure there was no obstruction. It turned out that they had numbed their intestines with medication and alcohol and the food was not obstructed. But, it was not moving. Then were given fiber to help the problem and still had problems going to the bathroom causing a further buildup of feces. The doctors found over 15 pounds of feces stuck in their intestines. Comedian Ali Wong also talks about that in one of her Netflix specials saying she did not go to the bathroom for weeks and her stomach became so bloated she had to go to the doctor with pounds of feces stuck in her. The guy on this video says it is usually impossible to have that much feces. But, the reality is that the eating habits, especially of today's diet with horrific fast food do cause abnormalities that have now become normalities in the intestines. But, just focusing on the average healthy intestinal pushing action is not indicative for everyone in the world.
@asmodiusjones95636 ай бұрын
What you say is true. However, the ads about toxic feces strongly suggest that *everyone* has pounds of feces inside them. I once had a guy try to sell me on getting a colonic because Elvis had 25 pounds of feces in him when he died. It’s like, do I look like Elvis? Besides his constipation was caused by drug use as you mention.

In 17 minutes you made me understand everything that happened to me more than 7 years of treatments with I don’t know how many doctors…Thank you for this video man. These cells are located in the intestines and they’re responsable for telling the brain to make these movements. If you don’t have these cells your intestine doesn’t make the movements. And I was completely full all the time. For years. I discovered it when I was 22.

This is fascinating. Makes me wish so much that I had a normal bowel like he’s explaining. See, I don’t have my own small intestine or about six inches of my colon. I’ve had two small bowel transplants. The first was in 2000, but I rejected it 9 months later. My second was in 2002. I can never explain how grateful I am to my donors and their families for allowing their loved ones to save another human being during their own tragedy. I understand this on a very personal level-from both sides. I was widowed when I was 24 years old and pregnant with my first child. My late husband was a huge proponent of organ donation. He helped save and improve the lives of 18 people. It was the only solace I had in his death. Donors are true heroes. I’ve had over a dozen abdominal surgeries and after my last one, when I got both a small intestine and a kidney, they were unable to reconnect my stomach muscles. Because of this I am able to see all the peristalsis that he’s talking about. I have to physically push on my intestines to move feces through my intestines as my own peristalsis isn’t what yours is. Pooping once a day would be a blessing. For me, it’s up to 20 times a day, and consistently diarrhea. I don’t absorb all the nutrients and almost none of the water in the bowel. I have a permanent port in my chest that I must hook up iv fluid to every day in order not to die of dehydration and destroy my one kidney, which isn’t mine and doesn’t work that well either. But all of this doesn’t really matter, for I am alive twenty one years after they gave me two weeks to live. I am a mom still and my daughters have not had to mourn my death. They have been very afraid, as I’ve spent years in the hospital in total and have flatlined on the table many times. But I’m here today and I appreciate this beautiful world, my doctors and the discoveries in medicine that have kept me going. There are still many people, including doctors I’ve seen, who’ve never heard of a small bowel transplant, but thankfully it’s becoming more common. They’ll learn a lot from my body when I die, and it’s my wish that the knowledge gained will eventually help save the lives of others. Thank you for doing this video. It’s a great opportunity for people to learn about what I see everyday.

@@halilibrahimkocoglu5899 I think with KZbin it’s like a meal for your brain so you see something that interests you at the moment and you click it. With school you get sent there whether you like it or not and spend hours being told to be quiet and not to talk to the other 30 kids jammed into the room with you. Then you get an assignment where you basically have to prove you listened to your teacher by spitting out what they told you back on to paper. Then whether or not you care about what the teachers talked about all day you get a report card at the end of the year so you can see how disappointed your parents are after you’ve spent months half listening to someone talk about math that will never be relevant to your life. That’s why this is easier to follow along with. KZbin creators put work into making what they’re showing you interesting whether it’s playing minecraft or poking dried up dead body parts and talking about poop. But School boards are lazy so instead of trying to make things interesting they just work on forcing children to pay attention to the pointless information that is irrelevant to flipping burgers or mixing coffee for the rest of there life like the other 80 percent of America.

Thank you for talking about this. You’re a good doctor! I went to a doctor in my twenties because I wasn’t having BMs for more than a week, and when I did, they were like rabbit droppings because I was so constipated. He told me to take a laxative. I asked him how big did my stool should be for him to consider it a good BM? He actually laughed at me and said whatever came out was good. I was furious and never went back to another doctor for years. You see, Mega Colon is a condition many in my family suffered with. At the time, I took the laxative like the doctor said, and, Oh My Gawd, I’d never do that again. I cramped so much and rolled around in severe pain on my bed sweating, before the laxative had time to work all the way down to release!!! My brother, son, and grandson had Mega Colon which produced what I called, “SUPER HUMAN STOOL!” Their BMs were equal in length and circumference of having a baby! Which I would like for you to talk about on here! It is dangerous, as well as, embarrassing for the person who has it. My brother still soiled his underwear until he was 18 yrs old, and had huge bumps like acne, only worse, on his face and nose. He was shamed by my mother until he tried to hide it from everyone. This can’t be hidden, and it’s not their fault! At around 4 yrs old, my son had dark circles under his eyes and a noticeable bloated stomach. He would come in from playing sick and sweaty. I made him rest until he felt better, but I was worried, so I took him to the doctor. Doctor said he was fine and probably had a bug going around. Finally, at 8 yrs old, he began to get a rash all over his body. I thought he was allergic to something and took him into the ER. They gave him a Benadryl shot and sent us home. I knew in my soul something else was going on. The Benadryl didn’t do a thing, so I took him back to the ER. Hallelujah, there was a great Doctor there named Dr. Justice! He immediately had an X-ray done on my son and finally told me what the rash was, and why my child had red blotches all over his body. For those who are going through this same thing, here was what I was told. Dr. Justice said my son had Mega Colon, which I’d never heard of. My sons colon was so packed with huge stool, that his colon wasn’t able to flattened out before, and after, stool moves down, and the colon will then stretch out which gives us the feeling that we need to expel our stool. The colon just stays wide open, therefore, allowing stool to drop out at anytime. He was enacted and is what caused the “super human size stool.” So, from the stool being caught up in the colon so long, and getting bigger, those toxins began to be released through the skin, causing the rash. I didn’t understand why my son, as well as his uncle, were still soiling their underwear at their ages until then. Dr. Justice told me to begin giving my son 2 tablespoons of mineral oil daily with plenty of water and juices. He said it would take about a years time for the colon, which had been stretched so large, to shrink back down to normal flatness so that my son could feel the normal stretching out of the colon for a normal bowel movement. The first question Dr. Justice was asked me was if his stool was unusually large. On my goodness yes, I said! Well, I know this was a long story, but well worth the time reading if your loved one suffers from mega colon. That very night I called my brother, who had just taken 2 laxatives, which Dr Justice said to never give to my son until this was cleared up completely. The laxatives caused my brother to pass out in the bathroom, and my sister had to help him come back around. I told my brother all about taking the mineral oil for a years time with water and juices. Literally within a year or so, they both made a complete recovery! No soiled underwear, which made them both very happy. My brothers face cleared up with no bumps or acne. My sons rash went away as soon as he began expelling the toxic stool. All of that old stool was making my son sick, bloated, and toxins were secreting through his skin. After that, I was able to notice it right away with my grandson and got him right on the mineral oil immediately. All turned out well, but I did research this Mega Colon, and it is genetically passed down. People have died from it. There are images of the size the stools can grow to be and killed the man who had the largest ever seen. This is a worthy topic to talk about to make people informed. Thanks for reading.

This really leads me to wonder what all the weird stringy gunk is that comes from these "cleanses" is it the bowel cleansing product itself, like pieces of clay and psyllium just balling together to look like "worm carcasses" or is it blobs of people's intestinal flora peeling off, possibly doing more harm than good?! I'm asking this with sincerity because I cannot stand scammy or gimmicky products that lead you to believe something more is happening other than what is actually happening. Example: Asian foot bath cleanses where the water turns black but it's a simple chemical reaction, not toxins leaving through your feet.. or peeling skin exfoliation scrubs that contain glue to make you believe more dead skin is coming off than really is.

True story. I was blocked up when I was in my teens for nearly 3 weeks. I didn't know about laxatives and I never told my parents of my problem cause I was super shy and insecure. 1 day during a camping trip with family I decided it needed to come out no matter what. I knew I had to atleast force it out. I remember walking to the washroom at the campground mustering up my courage to get whatever was in me out. This was not going to be just a "pinching of the loaf" but more of taking a chainsaw to a 3 week old bread nobody wants to eat... I went into the stall, sat on the porcelain throne and then pushed as hard as I can..... And I grunted and grunted till I saw blinking stars shooting out from the washroom stalls door. It felt like I was going Lightspeed on a star fighter... I had FELT whatever was in me come out after a minute of continuous grunting.... And after that I had reached euphoria... And at that moment I knew, I was a new teenager. I wanted to know who my match was before I flushed.. and as I was wiping I made sure the toilet paper was off to the side of the bowl to get a view of my big brown creation.... So as I stood up and looked behind me into the bowl, I saw NOTHING but toilet paper!!!!! To my amazement I was thinking why? What is going on? Is this a hoax? Is God playing tricks on me? After a few seconds knowing nothing big and brown was there I flushed the toilet..... And at that exact moment I flushed, the water started to rise and it was not flushing as it should! After living in India for 11 years I got use to the squatting technique when having a bowel movement and will continue doing so for the rest of my life. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a foot stool for the bathroom and giving it a go. It will help prevent or fix a lot of digestion related issues.
@YouKnowMeDuh3 жыл бұрын
NO! Not just any foot stool, because you can still have bad posture. You body actually has to be at a certain angle for it to be effective. Those of us who are young might not have issues with it, but for older people who have a lot of issues with going #2 it is extremely important that they have a setup that puts them as close to the squatting position and posture as possible. There are a lot of designs marketed that don't actually do what they're supposed to do, unfortunately. I'm just saying this because in my design class this was one of the projects and the doctor that presented the intro to it mentioned all of this. On a lighter note, the last design team that attempted to make a portable design that takes up little space literally just made a regular footstool. It didn't even fold, despite that being a requirement. Just imagine working 2 semesters on something just to not only create something that already exists, but to create something that is literally a common item 🤣

I wasn't able to poop normal for 9 months during the pandemic. I found manuka honey (which is only made in new zealand) and I pooped every other day about 25 inches each time for 3 weeks after eating a tablespoon of this honey every day. It was likely about 20-30 pounds of poop in me. Turns out I must have had some type of bad bacteria which the honey killed! It has anti bacteria properties and things that allow the intestines to work. I now use it as toothpaste since it's considered better than regular toothpaste and protects the tooth and gums by killing bacteria. This way I don't need to eat it every day. I just brush with it.

Bindy Irwin the daughter of Steve Irwin the Crocodile guy had this bad, and apparently spent YEARS trying to convince doctors the pain was real! @stephenwhinnley15913 жыл бұрын
Some medications like opiates (oxycodone, morphine, OxyContin) slow down the passage of stool through the colon. The longer it's in the colon the more water is extracted from the stool. This forms hard, dense poop that can cause constipation. Laxatives are often substances that draw water into the colon. Magnesium sulfate for example, pulls water into the colon preventing the stool from forming into a solid and allowing it to pass quicker through the colon. This can result in soft, loose or watery diarrhea.

Things that don't work, or things that don't do what the marketing claims it will do. My goodness it is too common for people to do the latter. Worst part about it is that people see what appears to be "results" but don't even know what the product is really doing to their bodies. For the "toxic poop" commercials, I get especially irritated that they try to sell you a powder to make you poop when in actuality the remedy to a LOT of digestive issues is improving your diet. What the hell is the point of using a supplement that will "help" you get healthy when you're concurrently dumping garbage into your body? It's not even like these products are necessary to keep you alive, like getting insulin injections because have diabetes and can't produce it on your own. It's just total fluff that at worst does damage to your body.

Do nurses tend to know a lot to begin with (I mean for their job, obviously anyone with enough free time can know as much as they can fit into their free time)? I wouldn't expect the average nurse to be so well-informed that it would be hard for them to learn something new about the human body without having to scrape the bottom of the barrel. I assume that even most medical doctors are probably not as well-informed as they might be assumed to be by people who tend to overestimate the theoretical scope of what is actually a technician of the human body and not actually a scientific profession, notwithstanding the hype. Don't mean to single you out of course, I just want to bring as many technical professionals down a peg as possible because I'm a grouchy theoretical knowledge idolizer. I’m scared of that prep! I’m 62 now, but when I was 21, I had to get, not one, but 2 barium enemas. The doc thought she saw something in there, so off I go to get a colonoscopy. It was in the late 70s when this was done. I was taken to a room and put on this table that looked like something I would imagine out of a porn movie. I had to kneel on the bottom, as my body laid over the rest of the table. I was shocked, humiliated, and mortified, when the table began to move my butt up in the air as I laid slanted downward. Without nothing for pain given, which at the time, I had no idea I’d need. The doctor proceeded to push a medium rounded, what I call, light adjuster, inside my butt! I think you can picture the adjuster I’m talking about, when you think of those night reading lights that clasp onto your bed, and you can adjust the light right on to your book so it doesn’t bother your partner. One of those, only much, much longer! It was rigid and the pain began at the sphincter! As he proceeded, I screamed so loud from the pain! When I saw my blood curdling screams was not going to detour him, I then began to beg God to make him stop! About that time, an unassuming young nurse mistakenly meandered over to the front of the table where I was able to reach up and grab her by the collar of her nicely pressed nurses uniform. I had her in my grip, and brought her down to the floor with one bare hand! I held her hostage there while other nurses tried to pry her from my grip! I screamed, STOP, and she goes free! They scuffled with me for a few more minutes trying to get her freed from my death grip. It wasn’t until the nurse on the floor began to cry, just like me, that the doctor said, “let’s stop, it’s not worth it!” I said, YES, OH GOD, YES! It’s not worth someone getting hurt here today! Recently, my doctor has scheduled me several times for a colonoscopy, but I have canceled every time. I just can’t get that out of my head! No matter how many times, “they say,” you won’t feel a thing! Absolute true story and in my medical records!

I was not prepared for the whole "It starts when you put food in your mouth, let me show you on this actual severed head" bit at the start

I keep thinking all of this is just very life-like synthetic material, but no... I have to keep reminding myself that these are ACTUAL BODY parts that were like... On a REAL LIVING HUMAN at one point.... Very creepy.

That explains why if you have to take opiods due to a condition, you have very firm stools and large stools,,, you can hold very large amounts of waste in your Colon. I dont eat a lot. I have a chronic pain condition. When I go, its usually painful, and I pass a lot at one time. Often I have trouble with the toilet afterwards getting it to flush because it doesnt break apart. Its a constant cycle. I cant take stool softenters because of my condition, I may not know when I have to go. I usually dont get a signal until I get some gas.

I remember having an ultrasound when I was pregnant and watching these things moving a slight bit back and forth and forward. I asked the tech what in the heck that was moving. She said it was poop. So I’ve actually watched my colon doing that squeezing and pushing he was explaining.

Last year in June or so, I had a partial bowel obstruction and it is genuinely horrifying how much stool your body can hold. I was 5'3, very skinny (except for my stomach, it looked pregnant.) On my x rays my colon was so stretched and deranged that it had actually displaced some of my other organs and made its way under my ribcage. I had to be on laxatives for 8-9 months afterwards to retrain my bowel how to poop instead of retaining it.

You can retrain your bowels? Like if they aren't pushing out poop unless you are full?

Was it ever explained why your colon had stopped functioning normally?

My 40 year old daughter has had constant constipation all her life. She is currently struggling with now her 3rd week of NO BOWEL MOVEMENT. Nearly 4 weeks now. She went to ER twice; went to family doctor twice and to a Gastrologist once. She was given the "Bowel Cleaning Prep" stuff you take before having a colonoscopy done and it helped some. Poop came out still brown, but runny; which it should do. But after taking one one of those bottles, she got so very sick she couldn't get out of bed. She never took the second bottle. I went with her to her family doctor who told her that she needs to take her stool softener daily and drink more water and eat more fiber. I pray that she gets better. Also the doctor told her that her intestines have been stretched and now that she's cleaned out the intestines needs to heal. I just don't know if I believe all this. Because 10 years ago I had 6 inches of my sigmoid colon removed. So I myself have been through that.

I am very sorry, to hear about your daughter. If you do not mind me asking. Did the doctor take X-Rays? Or perform a colonoscopy? It sounds as if, she might have an enlarged colon. You might want to go back to your doctor. If the fiber, and stool softener. Do not work. Prayers, for you and your daughter 🙏🙏. God Bless you.

You have a gift of teaching/explaining. Thank you for creating this channel. So far, all of your videos that I have watched have been incredibly helpful in understanding different systems in our bodies. Thank you

I had an anatomy and physiology class in college and I recommend that sort of instruction for every college student. It gave me a healthy respect for the human body that I did not have before. It also changed the way my mind worked. I thought that only mathematics did that, but no, science is maths companion. It enabled me to see my body in a different and more healthy way. Thank you for your videos.
